    Default Best albums of 2007

    i love lists.
what are your favourite albums released in 2007?

    mine:
spoon - ga ga ga ga ga
    arcade fire - neon bible
lcd soundsystem - sound of silver
    lcd soundsystem - 45:33
    radiohead - in rainbows
    i'm not there OST
the good, the bad and the queen
panda bear - person pitch (gorgeous, happy music. reminiscent of brian wilson yet totally original at the same time and imo even better than the stuff he does with animal collective)
    grinderman - grinderman
modest mouse - we were dead before the ship even sank
    animal collective - strawberry jam

    biggest disappointments:
    wilco - sky blue sky
rufus wainwright - release the stars
they're both not bad albums but i was expecting so much more.

    forgot to add:
    gogol bordello - super taranta!
    justice - †
solal presents the moonshine sessions (the same guy behind gotan project, but instead of the typical trendified tango that got really boring really quick, this is a surprisingly simple, lovely country album, no superfluous gimmickery except maybe for the crickets)

Love Jill Scott! I'm looking forward to seeing her in The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency too. It's supposed to come out this next year.
