I've been watching all these old movies lately: Pollyanna, Vertigo, etc. and although they are very compelling, the bloody soundtrack is really annoying, it's so melodramatic and over-the-top. Like there's one scene in Pollyanna where the Aunt goes to kiss her man (I forgot his name) and seconds before they kiss, queue the cheesy love music. It ruined it all.
But I think I noticed that in the '80s that music is completely gone, it's changed to music that we have today in films like John Williams and James Horner.
Does anyone know what I mean?
