Cool A 14-year-old Filipino girl's rendition of And I Am Telling You

I know there was a thread a while back on another precocious young girl singing that same song, but I like this one even better. The audience members' reaction are certainly...interesting.

Uh, are you sure she isn't lip-synching? That sounds exactly like Jennifer Hudson... If that is her voice, she is an amazing mimic.

Well, from what I gathered, it's a contestant of Korean Idol, so I doubt she Mili Vanillaed them. She's probably just an excellent mimic.

One of the things voice teachers/coaches do is have their students mimic the songs of their favorite singers, so it is possible that she's singing in her own voice. If it is a lip sync it's a damn good one.

Great voice. Her movements are probably a bit 'forced' because she doesn't understand the words!! Those Krazy Koreans LOL

I just had to jump into this thread. The girl singing is Charice Pempengco. She has always sounded quite mature for her age. Her rendition of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You will knock your socks off! And no, she doesn't lip synch. In the Filipino singing industry, you'll see really young children entering contests all the time, and they are quite amazing singers. She's the real deal.

Wow, well, since it seems like it is her, I'm very impressed! Hopefully, as she matures she'll create her own style, but for now, she's quite the prodigy.

She sings well, cracks me up, that she is singing the song completely wrong though. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing, when I noticed she looks like my damn sister.
