Lindsay Lohan singing at the American Music Awards

That does it. If Lindsay can get up there in front of millions of people wearing a nightgown, grunting & spazzing while she mutilates "Edge of Seventeen," I could be a superstar. What the hell was that? Who saw it? Am I being harsh?

just saw the pics and whatnot. did not hear good things about her performance but i havent seen it.

Ap0k and I sat here with our jaws on the floor in horror. It was horrible to say the least. IAnd I noticed they never showed the audience during or after her "performance" like they normally do.

Ap0k said he was offended that they would let someone like that be highlighted on a show that is intended to honor musicians.

But in the end Annie Lennox came out and kicked all kinds of ass so i was happy.

So it wasn't just me. It was an insult to the real musicians there. She has absolutely no showmanship. I don't even know if she can sing, because I was so distracted by her awkward jerky attempts to dance & look interesting, as well as that nightgown/maternity dress/potato sack she was wearing. I suppose that her singing "edge of seventeen" was supposed to be titillating & provacative, but she looked so pained throughout the performance that there was no sexuality at all. She looked really intense & serious, like Janis Joplin without the talent.
