Some of my favourite live performances:
The Animals - House of the Rising Sun (1964) - passionate and flawless, I love them
Heart - Crazy on You (1976) - before they made crappy pop songs, this band played some great rock music
Joss Stone and Melissa Etheridge - Cry Baby/Piece of my Heart - Janis would be proud
Sarah McLachlan - Possession - hearing Sarah live will always send shivers down your spine, especially with the great solo arrangement of this song
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah - one of the most unique and beautiful voices of all time, the world's loss
k.d. lang - Crying (1989) - she sings this with such yearning and honesty, it's unbelievable
Sarah Slean - Lucky Me - a Canadian gem who unfortunatley never gained any fame in the states.
KT Tunstall, one of the greatest live performers in a long while:
KT Tunstall - I Want You Back - the best live cover of a song I have ever heard
KT Tunstall - Black Horse and the Cherry Tree - too much talent for only one viewing. You have to keep reminding yourself she's only one person, because it sounds like a full band is onstage. The last minute is too perfect for words
That's a hell of a long list, but if I remember any more, i'll post them.

BeeGees 1975 "Nights On Broadway"
BeeGees 1975 Medley
BeeGees in 1997 "Night Fever/More than a Woman Medley" a.k.a. three old bald men with stiff achy joints but still golden throats
BeeGees in 1997 "Lonely Days" their ever great ending of another fantastic live show (too bad they don't have an earlier live version, I just hate seeing bald, arthritic Barry )
BeeGees Live in Argentina 1998 "New York Mining Disaster" (different arthritis meds for Barry so he looked less puffy and had a little more hair again)
Barry in 1986 live with Barbra Streisand "Guilty"
Barry in 1986 live with Barbra Streisand "What Kind of Fool?"
Elvis, 1973, "An American Trilogy" he really had THE best musicians, band and back-up singers, ever.
