Me loves Kylie Minogue.

YouTube - KYLIE MINOGUE - I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY

Quote:
Recorded in London in October 1987, I Should Be So Lucky marked the beginning of Kylies musical partnership with Stock Aitken & Waterman. The song debuted at a lowly No. 90 on the 9th January before soaring up the charts in the weeks that followed. I Should Be So Lucky set the record in the U.K. as the first single for over 10 years to stay at No.1 for five weeks, and went on to become one of the biggest selling singles of the year with sales of over 675,000. Kylie became the first artist ever to hold simultaneous No.1s in Australia and Britain and topped the charts in Germany (3 weeks), Finland, Israel, Japan, Switzerland, and Hong Kong, as well achieving top five positions in Austria, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Greece, France and New Zealand. In the U.S, I Should Be So Lucky peaked at No.28 giving Kylie her first Top 40 hit stateside.
YouTube - Kylie Minogue - Turn It Into Love

Quote:
With Kylie mania taking over Japan, Turn It Into Love was released to meet demand and instantly shot to No.1 on the Japanese International chart where it remained unchallenged for 10 weeks! At the same time Kylie had four other singles in the Top 40 - Especially For You (#3), Its No Secret (#4), The Loco-motion (#27) and I Should Be So Lucky (#31). Turn It Into Love became Kylies third consecutive Japanese No.1, and the sixth single from the album. Over a 12 month period Kylie spent a staggering 27 weeks (almost 6 months) on the No.1 spot on the Japanese International charts!
Song summary taken from ::::KYLIE::::

Turn It Into Love was really popular when I was little. Here's a Japanese remake by Wink. It's funny cuz it's so 80's!

Awww, ain't that cute! I wish I was old enough in the 80's. I used to go clubbing at places that had retro nights. I once won a contest at a 70's night for my costume .

This club I used to go to in New Zealand (yea underage clubbing...) they always played this song by Jackson 5.

YouTube - Blame It On The Boogie

And other 70's hits...

YouTube - Abba - Dancing Queen
(this is classic!)

YouTube - Bee Gees Stayin' Alive

YouTube - Village People - YMCA

YouTube - Play That Funky Music White Boy-Wild Cherry

YouTube - Nazareth - Love Hurts
(I want to learn how to play this song on my guitar)

I loved bad music as a teenybopper as these old favorites will attest.

Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods - "Billy Don't Be A Hero" - (Sorry! Removed between last night and now, possibly for copywrite issues, sniff..it sucked in all it's orange and white polyester Elvis pantsuited glory.
The Osmonds - "Crazy Horses"
The Osmonds cartoon show opening theme
The Jackson Five Alphabits Commercial
And that song about humping all day Starland Vocal Band - "Afternoon Delight"
And impossibly young David Cassidy singing "I Think I Love You" Who knew he had the biggest cock in Hollywood?
The Raspberries "Go All The Way" Notice how a lot of songs from the 70s involve humping or wanting to hump?
David Essex - "Rock On"
T Rex - "Bang A Gong"
Deep Purple - "Highway Star"
The Bay City Rollers- "Shang A Lang"
Supertramp - "The Logical Song"
Queen - "Killer Queen"
