Hilary Duff (BLUSH)

I know I shouldn't, but I've really warmed to her music. Her first and second albums, that is, not that crappy one they released last year.
I'm anticipating her next album out in November, even if the first single is AWWWFUL.

Anybody else like Hil's music? Even if they hate themselves for it? Blame the writers she hires, not yourself!

I am not that big a fan but I really liked her song Come Clean.

You should try out 'Someone's Watching Over Me'.
It's deep. The writers wrote Come Clean, but this is lyrically pretty darn good and also the tune is just as good as anything The Beatles ever wrote.
Hilary's voice DOES sort of ruin it, though.

I hated why not; what a cheesy, poorly written song!

Um, I rather like "Beat of My Heart." Is that from the last crappy album? I think it is, but it's freaking brilliant. I DO blame the writers. I can't see myself possibly liking the anorexic munchkin otherwise.

*confession time* I also like what Britney Spears' WRITERS come up with, like Toxic. And maybe Everytime (though the lyrics are still a little simple and "dear diary-like," the music is pretty.) I reiterate, it's the SONGWRITERS I like, NOT HER!!!!! *falls over dead from shame*

I am a huge fan of Kara DioGuardi, who is the singer/songwriter of new band 'Platinum Weird'. She writes pretty much every song for Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, etc...
She's terrific.

You know, I always think it's a shame the songwriters aren't more recognized for their achievements when they write for these performers. I mean, they get Grammy's and other industry awards, but the way you read and hear about some artists (I'm thinking about the likes of Britney and Paris here) you'd think they wrote their own songs when they're probably pretty musically inept. I mean, the ability to write a song is a gift!

Her new album's a bit... meh. I bought it today. There's no sad/beautiful songs this time which is really annoying!
HAPPY is the only good track.

I like some of Britney's music too. Everytime is really good, and it's a good song for her voice and I like the lyrics.
