Default Dumb songs that you love?

Basically a song or songs that you feel guilty about really liking. I love this song - great melody. Kind of anthemic chorus. Also, I'm very nostalgic because it was in the early years of my marriage when Mrs. Mo actually worked together..

But the so dumb. The lyrics are about a relationship that is basically over - kind of wistful. And then as the chorus comes in and reaches a crescendo: the guy goes "And I said, what about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'?" And it turns out they both liked it, and he says, "Well, that's one thing we've got!" Dude, that's just sad!

^^^ OMG, my parents were hippies when this came out and played it on our record player endlessly when we first moved into our house. I was four. They spent every spare minute painting/fixing up the house for many months and there was music constantly playing. So many things of that era. I can't think of them all ... that song is in my head now!! Lol

Mine is ... almost anything from the Bee Gees. I still listen to them, even songs from before I was born. I love a lot of things from around that time, mostly things that my parents stayed away from. Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Jimi ....

I have a playlist that has a ton of melancholy songs (from a time that was not melancholy in my life) that bum people out. A lot of songs from Grey's Anatomy, even though I haven't watched that show in many years.

I'm so bad at these questions because I have little to no shame about dumb songs I like. In fact, I like all the songs listed so far and will sing any of them at the top of my lungs if they come on.

Hinder - Bad Muthafucka. I keep catching myself singing this in the most inappropriate moments. I love it.

In general I'd describe myself as a metalhead. but I just go crazy for italo disco sometimes:

As metal silliness goes you can't beat MANOWAR!!!! Possibly one of the cheesiest videos and most awful songs I have ever seen:

"No Way Out" by Jefferson Starship. Really catchy goth-pop song from the 80s, with lyrics that make very little sense. But also accompanied by one of the worst videos of all time - includes Father Guido Sarducci electro-shocking lead singer Mickey Thomas in a confessional booth. Has Grace Slick randomly wandering around in a Roman Centurion's helmet, making babbling sounds. And two other members of the group are wearing animal skins and performing scientific experiments in what looks like a teenager's bedroom.

For years I have had la la la la la- la la la la la- la la la la la going through my head. Mostly at work for some reason. I do love this cute little weird song.
