I wanted to set that Issue of Rolling Stone on fire; it was a bunch of douchebags paying lipservice to older white guys who were in turn paying lip service to old black guys that they ripped off.

The thing that really made go wtf was seeing Tool's Vicarious at #100; first of all I can think of at least 5 other Tool songs that are better guitar wise it's almost like the guy has never even listened to Tool and realized that the thing about Tool is the amazing fucking drummer.
Ugh... that list is so wrong.

I agree that "Sunshine of Your Love" should be on this list... what about Stevie Ray Vaughn? Steve Miller Band? Jethro Tull? Eagles?........

They had fucking John Mayer spouting shit about how the blues are in his soul; I just want to slap him and say "shut the fuck up already!"

What?? Surely Stinkfist is Tool's greatest riff (IMO). Oh but of course... it's a bass riff. *unimpressed face*

That's the thing; there are tons of other Tool songs that are way "better". That was the final straw for me when I read that magazine.

Rolling Stone sold out when they stopped doing it like this:

and started doing shit like this:

It's less about the music and more about paying lip service to whatever musical crap is hot at that given moment so issues will sell.
