    Default Best Rock Voices

Help me out please. I know nothing about new singers, especially one's that have great pop/rock voices. If you like somebody new, please post.

Some of the greatest artists who can really sing pop/rock (in my opinion) are:

    Jim Morrison
    Duane/Gregg Allman
    Stephen Stills
    Freddie Mercury
    David Bowie
    Robert Plant
    Billy Idol
    Linda Ronstadt (You're No Good)
Paul McCartney (his Lady Madonna/Back in the USSR voice).
    Roger Daltrey
    Bono
    Shirley Manson (Garbage)

    Anybody?

Freddie Mercury, Freddie Mercury, and Freddie Mercury. Of all the stuff that's out today, Serj Tankian of System of a Down is pretty good.

But rock just isn't the place to listen to for good voices. And that said, I hardly listen to it (more of a metal fan), so this may not be of much help.

The lead singer of Fuel (can't remember his name) has such an emotive voice, I love it. Sadly, I think he has throat problems where he can't really sing anymore.
Robbie Williams has an amazing voice too, not rock and not pop, somewhere in between.

I forgot Pat Benetar and Rod Stewart.

It's why I specified rock voices - the one's that can really belt out rock as their forte.

I'm sitting here laughing because I don't know who any of those singers are! But thanks

I agree with Freddie Murcury (listening to Killer Queen right at this moment) and Billy Idol (<--sexy as hell!).
I don't know if we are meant to only mention male rockers but I love Joan Jett's voice.

If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.

I don't know if it's considered rock, but Steve Perry from Journey has a tremendous voice.

Geddy Lee from Rush. Not the best voice, but, to me, the most unique.

Leon Redbone is the best. Not rock, though, more jazz/blues.

Axl Rose had one of the best voices in rock ever in my opinion. It just had that extra something.
