WTF? Never heard of it. I "seen" enough rednecks, women and men, to last me a lifetime. Alberta girl here.

You're confusing me & making my head spin. I though you WERE a high-class broad who drank lattes while you bought $4000 dresses.
Stop screwing with my head.

You "seen", lemme bring up a saying I've heard several times the last few days, and it's always made me cringe.
Some people around here will talk about how much they paid for something, and they'll say "I give twenny dollers fer it"
It's the "I give" used in past tense that runs cleats up my spine.

Re: I'm a redneck woman....
Hehe. Cleats up my spine. "Seen" used improperly is an infamous redneck giveaway, as is "Then I says to .... fill in the blank."
You can take the girl out of Alberta, but you can't take Alberta out of the girl. I learned the grim, puritanical Protesant work ethic there, which I've been trying to shed my whole life!

Sorry I just want to marry Gretchen Wilson-she is just so tacky. I am tired of being a high-class broad-my father was born rather poor in Mexico City but they came to the US and well, sent their kids to Ivy League schools. I am two generations out of the slums of Mexico...

She says the execs in Nashville told her she was too fat, her hair was dated and her songs were wrong. Good for her. She has an 8th grade education. As she sings in one of her songs-it isn't bad for a bartender.

Re: I'm a redneck woman....
I love that song and Gretchen Wilson in general. She is extraordinarily talented and fits in with that MuzikMafia philosophy. I have her first album and was surprised to find that she isn't purely country even though that's what she was promoted as (country back to its roots or something). Maybe it was John Rich helping to develop her for the album, but she I hear some rock and some really soulful stuff too (there was actually a genre I'm attempting to put my finger on, but I can't come up with it now). Plus her voice is amazing, I really need to buy the second album.
Redneck Woman was also my ringtone for about a year

I think it's cute how the pathetic try to make being ignorant and uncultured a sign of superiority.
Back to your trailer, woman. *beat*

Re: I'm a redneck woman....
No, I don't listen to country any more for the reasons you stated. I will google Wilson, tho.

Re: I'm a redneck woman....
Lately it's the rare country artist that I'm a fan of, but I did get hooked on Nashville Star again this season. I like the MuzikMafia crew (Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich, even Cowboy Troy-but that's because I think the whole concept is hilarious, he "fused" country and hip-hop so he's a country rapper who calls his music hick-hop ), Martina McBride blows me away with her voice, Toby Keith, I like about half of what Brad Paisley does, Rascal Flatts are good. OK, I know it sounds like a lot, but these are lesser played artists right now for the most part. My radio is only on the country station probably about 15-20% of the time.

Re: I'm a redneck woman....
I dislike country and I dislike Gretchen, I want to wash her hair and give it a lil trim.

Re: I'm a redneck woman....
Country is OK, I'm not a big fan. This song cracks me up though. It's like who's looking down on you?? Who are these invisible critics you are singing to? Anyway, I love this song, it's addicting!!
