This makes me think of SCTV.
They were original. They did it FIRST. Nobody did it before they did.

aw i loved Joey Heatherton
Well, the whore apples sure didn't fall far from the whore tree. Sylkyn
Ann Margaret's dancing is so cool, we don't see this type of talent anymore.
Raquel really had a 10 body dammit. Ann Margret too.
Why do people say "Grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive! If you really wanna get tough, grow a vagina! Those things take a pounding! -Betty White
Isn't that when Ann-Margaret was getting in on with Elvis? I see why. Raquel was fairly talentless in the singing/dancing department, but she was such a knockout and had seemed to have a sense of humor about it, so she's fun to watch.
Joey Heatherton is smokin' hot, but I find her hairstyle a total turn-off. It's like soccer-mom hair on Ann-Margaret's body.
Lola Falana was so sexy. My goodness. She did three films over in Italy and the folks over there called her the "Black Venus" because she was just that stunning. Gorgeous woman.
um, yes, we do. of course it's not britney or anything but there are a lot of talented singers and dancers out there. just as many today as there were then.
i love these clips and they're a lot of fun, but why the need to be all nostalgic and declare the present a piece of shit? no era is better than any other and people are always putting down the present. when these singers came out, there were people saying they were talentless sluts and nothing like the talented singers in their heyday. repeat ad nauseam all throughout history.
I'm open to everything. When you start to criticise the times you live in, your time is over. - Karl Lagerfeld
I saw Ann-Margret live in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" here in Bham, on their roadshow, and she was fan-fucking-tastic. She danced and sang with a broken ankle and was a complete crowd pleaser. She ROCKED. I wish I could've smuggled a camera in to tape it, it was so great.
Ann Margret is teh shit. Have always liked her - "Bye Bye Birdie" is one of my favorite movies. Never miss it.

Yes, AM and Elvis. A deep love and understanding for one another.

Just to be clear - I wanted to show the original 1960's groovy dancers who were the first to dance in that style on film. Whether they were good or bad, they are the clearly the mentors of many of the one's we have today.
I will say that they sure had spectacular legs especially compared to Beyonce's, Rihanna's and Britney's tree trunks.
Ok. Where is Judy and Liza?!?
