Default What songs take you back?

Queen of Hearts
Jesse's Girl
I Love a Rainy Night
The Gambler

For some reason these 4 songs take me back to my childhood.

Hungarian Dances 1-21 by Brahms take me back. I got a tape of it when I was 12 (I was a weird kid) and listened to it every night. Reminds me of junior high. Number 1, number 5, number 16, and number 19 are my favorites.

Oh, my gosh, so many take me back. I grew up in the late '60s, '70s, etc. The music was so good back then, not what it is now. I listen to music now and wonder where the artistic element went. There is no big production music, no wonderful melodies, it's just not that labor intensive anymore. As for taking me back, Southern rock maybe does it the most for me. Sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll. WooHoo!

I think everything that I listed on the ipod thread earlier. I seem to be stuck in the 90's though.

I have so many different time periods that certain music takes me back to! I love it.

Beyond my own music collection, it's funny how I'll remember a time period because of what was playing on the radio, OVER and OVER. I worked at Taco Bell right out of high school, and remember hearing, in the restaurant, "Take Paradise, put up a parking lot" and something about "touched by a kiss from a rose (it was from a movie and I can't remember the title)". ANY time I hear either of those songs, I get flashbacks of mopping the floor or stuffing lettuce into taco shells.

Juice Newton's Angel of the Morning. I use to listen to that all the time when I was a kid.

Being born in the '80s sucks. My childhood memories are of such shite as Paula Abdul and New Kids on the Block. Good thing my older cousin turned me on to Duran Duran and U2.

I had to listen to country at a job that I didn't like much. Might be why I don't like it now!

Kiss From A Rose, by Seal. It was in Batman Forever. I got dragged to that by the DH when we were still dating in '95. That was the cheesy one with Val Kilmer, it was like watching a comic book on-screen, only not as interesting.

The Cranberries second album is one that takes me back to senior year of high school every time.
