Default THIS IS IT - Michael Jackson surprisingly good live

TMZ posted the following YouTube clip of 46 seconds, showing
Jacko during the This is it rehearsals of Human Nature.
Although Jackson is obviously frightfully skeletal, I'm absolutely
amazed at how good he sounded live! He may never have sounded
this good, well, at least not since his very early live performances!

I know it is only 46 seconds and, considering how skinny he is and his
age, he probably would not have been able to keep the live singing
at this level, I really am pleasantly surprised by it.

I wonder when this was taped.

He looks like a Tim Burton character.

His voice did sound pretty darn good though.

You do know that a decent sound guy can auto-tune live don't you.....

Just when I thought that I couldn't live without another videfesto...

BTW - his voice should have changed, which convinced me even more about the autotuning technology.

I think his voice did change.. it got a lot more nasal and pinched sounding, thanks to all the fucking with his nose.

^^Agreed. Pinch your nostrils together and sing a tune - you might sound just like him. I think you have to grab your crotch at the same time, grease up your hair and cover your fingers with band aids as well.

No one sounds like MJ, except for maybe Janet. His speaking voice started to sound more nasally, but his singing voice pretty much stayed the same. Of course he couldn't sing songs like Blame It On The Boogie anymore once he hit 30, but there was no drastic change.

Aretha still sounds the same. Chaka still sounds the same.

Unless they all used autotune too.

Mariah Carey's voice stayed the same all throughout the 90s decade, until she started doing that whisper voice in the 2000s. She couldn't do a Vison of Love today at all if she tried. Whitney Houston's voice stayed the same for years, and would have today if Whitney's drug habits hadn't ruined her beautiful voice. I heard her latest song and it sounds like someone who is impersonating Whitney, not Whitney herself.

Here she is "singing" I'm Every Woman.

At 67, Babs Streisand (here in a live performance on Friday Night
with Jonathan Ross, taped in September, aired Oct. 2, 2009), is a bit
hoarser, has lost some notes in the high and gained some in the lower
register of her voice, but all in all is still in pretty good voice for a
    senior citizen:
