World's Ugliest Actress

I used to think Anna Karen, from late 60's early 70s UK sitcom (and 3 movie's) "On the buses" was "made" to look this ugly for the show
but, she actually IS!

Exactly! I was in middle/high school when 90210 was on and managed to avoid watching (the show was too popular with the cheerleader crowd for my taste), but I couldn't avoid the massive media coverage the show got. Whenever I saw ads for the show I wondered how the hell anyone could think Tori Spelling was hot?!? Then I realized who her dad was and it became a bit more clear...

It's unfortunate for Amanda Plummer that her father, Christopher Plummer, was handsome back in the day. She, however, has never been very attractive. Good plastic surgery could work wonders for her, but she isn't the type.

If, by "ugly" we mean "homely," there are actresses who are, in fact, homely: Amanda Plummer, Shelley Duvall, Rossy de Palma. Empircally, there are people who would qualify as "homely" or not physically beautiful.

Then there are "plain" actresses---like Lili Taylor, who I think has a marvelous face and is (with the exception of The Haunting) a very good actress.

And then there are women whose elegance and strangeness, I think, makes them beautiful....not to mention their talent: Anjelica Huston, Tilda Swinton. Tilda Swinton was a STUNNER in The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe. Couldn't take my eyes off of her. Her face is like a canvas.

I would take these women over the boring pretty faces like Jessica Alba and whatever other starlet we worship these days. Boring. Give me a good, weird face.
