Why do women hate some female celebs like Keira Knightley and others...

I am a woman and Keira Knightly is gorgeous.

I don't hate Keira Knightly. I thought she was gorgeous when she first popped on the scene. But I did start finding her annoying when she opened her yap too much. Celebs just don't think before they go babbling, that's their biggest problem. Plus, let them get a little whiff of A-list and they get scarily thin and/or PS'd to the point where you wonder what made them famous in the first place.

So Jealousy? No. Flapping the jaws too much and sounding like an idiot or bitch (or both) every time they get a chance + neurotically fucking with their previously adorable looks too much = me anywhere from merely annoyed and exasperated-completely over and done with them.

I guess what the author is saying is true in general, but I personally do not hate any of them. I find things about them to be critical about, or gossip about, but none of them can in any way have a negative impact on my life (unless of course I actually DO start to hate them) so I don't care enough to hate any of them.

Well to be honest, there are some celebrities I find it easy to dislike because I am jealous of their lifestyles, of their beautiful homes, their clothes and their bank account balances. I hate to hear them complain or be 'oh woe is me' when there are 'normal' people hauling ass and working long days to buy damn groceries. It's not a 'bitter' jealousy ... but all the same I suppose it is an envy that my life isn't that easy.

It is ridiculous to always put it down to jealousy whenever some woman doesn't like another woman. Yes, men can hate and bitch and it's never about jealousy, but women bitch and moan just and only because they are jealous.

I bet most of us are smarter than most of the airheaded bimbos in hollywood, but yet they are making more money and getting their ass's kissed more than us?!?!?!? Ahhhhhh..... I say they can take a little critizising from us. They'll say they don't deserve it, but guess what, they don't deserve getting paid millions of dollars either, while teachers and social workers and other MORE difficult occupations get crap. They should shut up and stop whining. We common people have to use cheap kleenex, while they can wipe their tears with hundred dollar bills. They deserve a roasting by the funny people on this board. That's the way I see it.

As for why celebs like Keira are appaently "hated" by other women, a lot of it really has to do with the fact that they are starved and nipped and tucked and tweaked within an inch of their lives by the Hollywood machine, and that leaves a bad taste in the public's mouth. Meryl Streep was never hated the way this article claims she was because not only was she a healthy looking woman, she actually had talent, unlike the majority of the celebs of today, male and female.

I couldn't work up enough energy to hate someone I don't even know. Annoyed, yes. Irritated, yes. Disgusted, yes. But hate? No.

I think Keira is very beautiful and I also love her acting. She was enchanting in Bend it Like Beckham. I knew she would go far after that.
