Meredith Baxter-Birney stood in front of me in line at Starbucks. When I asked the barista if he knew who she was, he had no idea. She was nice. Ordered her drink, waited with us plebes. This was right before she came out.

Do we have a douche-sighting thread? Cause I saw nasty fleshbeard Spencer whatshis face, Heidi's boyfriend from The Hills. Can't even remember his name. Hanging out with some guys at Grand Lux cafe happy hour in the Beverly Center mall. Heidi nowhere in sight.

I was there was to kill time before a Russell Brand show at the Largo. He looked decent, (the man loves his crotch-framing leather pants) sober, and not as crazy-eyed as he usually does in stills. He actually seemed like someone who had a real inner life, with, you know, real *thoughts* instead of the usual superficial celeb concerns running through his brain. But he also seemed like a real manwhore at the same time.

Selma Blair yesterday evening in soho. I was on my way to anthropologie to check out this vintagey bra and panties set I saw on their website. She walked by me with her kid and baby daddy, they seemed friendly enough for a couple that broke up not too long ago. They were kind of standing on a corner so of course I stalled and pretended to look at something on my phone while i eavesdropped. they didn't say anything interesting. She is tiny, not just thin but super short. Her imdb lists her as 1m60 but she's even shorter than that cause I'm 1m64. Her baby daddy is really short too.
Selma was wearing really baggy and ugly jeans, a sweater, she looked a bit sloppy to be honest. Didn't really pay attention to kidlet, she was carrying him.

Until the end of the episode, when he'd have a hysterical breakdown and tell off all of his rightwing friends for being bigots and end up being the good guy his hippie parents raised after all. I loved when episodes ended that way, with Alex going through a crisis of conscience. But I think Steven still might start hitting the bottle...J/K

Saw Theo Rossi from "Sons of Anarchy" (I've never seen the show but I'm told he plays Juice). He's spent the past week volunteering on Staten Island after Hurricane Sandy hit. Much respect to him for getting his hands dirty and helping the community out.

Allegra Versace, she is so sophisticated and a lot prettier in real. Of course she is super skinny but did not look ill.

I saw Nicky Hilton at a nail salon in LA. She was super rude and super skinny. her ass is very flat and hangs down to her knees.

Ooh, deets on how she was rude, please! What'd she say/do?

Oh and I just saw gaschick's question re: the Russell Brand show. It was ai'ght. He was trying out some new material and he went heavy on the humping the air gimmicks, his olympics experience, no Katy Perry references much to my dismay. He did have a nice girl he'd met from a Boys and Girls Club-type charity try her hand at standup before the show. It was really nice of him and she was pretty funny.

I was in LA a couple of weeks ago on a business trip. Since I had one free day I decided to be the proper tourist and see Hollywood Boulevard. As I was there, talking with my two colleagues, we saw a camera man filming two undefined, yellowish blobs walking on the boulevard, one bigger and one smaller. It was Honey Boo Boo with her mother. Not sure if it counts as a proper celebrities encounter, but it sure was depressing. Couldn't have I met, I don't know, Chris Hemsworth or something?

What a fun thread to read! Here are a few of mine:
Marlo Thomas - She babysat my sister and me at a Sacramento Hotel when I was 4. (My father knew someone who knew her or something like that).
Clint Eastwood - Golf tournament in Carmel - I was only 10 (30 years ago), very handsome and nice.
Tony Curtis - At a horse show in Santa Rosa when they were filming Little Miss Marker. I was on my horse riding down to an arena, and he was in his car. I said hi as I thought he was someone's dad (he looked so familiar . He stopped and said hello and asked me about my horse. As he drove away, I realized who it was, and I almost fell off.
Paul Newman - Sears Point Race Track - very nice, very short, but man he was very handsome.
Huey Lewis - Lived up the street from my mom - super nice and very good looking.
Gregg Rollie - (Santana & Journey) Kept his horse where I kept mine. Very good looking and really nice.
Neal Schon (Journey) I used to live near him and would see him at the store. He is pretty short. He was quiet but was friendly.
Scott Glenn - Sears Point - this time at a motorcycle race. He was in the pits and my husband raced back then. He is one of my favorite actors so I actually approached him and said hi and told him how much I loved Silverado. He was very nice, very good looking (rugged), and he was pretty short (but who cares so handsome!)
George Strait - He rides cutting horses and I've seen him at several horse shows. Very nice, really short.
Joe Montana - Used to ride cutting horses. Tall and really good looking and very nice.
Sammy Hagar - I used to live in the same town and would see him a lot. Very funny guy.
