I think it’s an old timer or movie/tv thing. I have gotten flowers before from someone trying to be romantic, and honestly I wasn’t impressed. I don’t see it as a romantic gesture, and it’s very cliche. I have received potted flowers and plants for my 40th birthday from guy and girl friends. That was nice.

I have mixed feelings. It's kind of a one-sided tradition, too. Women don't get guys flowers. Women don't open doors for guys. Yadayada. But I still do it, like clockwork. Every Valentine's Day, every birthday, every Mother's Day. Every anniversary. I've never missed one of these dates, but it doesn't automatically make me a great husband. Possible an automaton. I have bought 120 bunches of roses over 30 years. 1,440 roses. It's a labor of love!

it's a nice gesture, i appreciate that mr czb does it on bdays, anniversaries and the like, but it really wasn't important to me in my dating days. i think meaningful, thoughtful gestures are more important.

true story, back in my dating days, one of the gifts that i considered most meaningful from a beau was a bottle of windex. yeah, it sounds bad but given the context, it was pretty considerate.

Even though I live close by,I have never set foot inside of Death Valley National Park. FK that . LOL I do have to scratch that off my bukkit list though. I have no excuse to not at least experience it once.
I'm from Santa Monica but i've never been out in open ocean. I have horrible Thalassophobia. However, I love putting my feet in the ocean at the beach. I'm dumb lol.
I've never seen Casablanca, Gone With The Wind, The Graduate .

Never have I ever eaten a meat pie with ketchup or successfully driven a manual car.

I've never seen Casablanca or Gone with the wind either. I have some catch-up to do when it comes to movies.
