^^ Oh shoot, you're right. I just always lump, WB, JN, DeNiro, Pacino, Newman and RR together out of habit.
So funny.

How can anyone hate....Mark Ruffalo?
I love him. Maybe 'cause he reminds me of one of my best friends.
I cannot STAND these peeps:
Angelina (....never liked her, not even in Hackers)
Jessica Simpson
pretty boys (Ryan Philippe, Wentworth Miller, that kind of thing)
Warren Beatty
Robert di Niro
Meryl Streep (though I liked her in Devil Wears Prada and Postcards from the Edge)
Halle Berry
Katherine Heigl (really, what's the big deal?)
Christina Ricci
Benicio del Toro
Chloe Sevigny
Kate Beckinsale
Adam Sandler

I also despise another I forgot to add. Yes, Jessica Alba is a snob and treats her fans like crap, that's why I don't like her. Here's more actors for you all.
Josh Hartnett
Benicio del Toro
Scott Caan
Casey Affleck
Justin Timberlake and NSYNC
Backstreet Boys
Nick Lachey
Bam Margera
Jessica Alba

Hello, Anne. Actually, I love all of them. I tend to think Naomi wants Nicole's career, but even Nicole is losing steam since winning the Oscar. Rachel Griffiths was great on Six Feet Under and Hilary & Jackie. Melissa George sounds familiar, but I can't quite remember her.
Unfortunately, they don't compare to Angelina the Goddess. Sorry, I don't mean to sound weird. Actually, I just got back from the movies today and watched "A Mighty Heart." Great film! Give that woman an Oscar now! Seriously, people, go see it - it's truly remarkable. Some slow spots bordering on boredom, but hang in there. It's really good, especially Jolie's performance. Her accent is a little shaky, but after a while you forget about it. Enjoy!

And I can understand most of the people on your female list. But you have to admit that Christina Aguilera actually has talent. The rest of them, not so much.

I agree, she does have an amazing voice and is the hottest pop singer, but I still bunch her in with those little whiny pop princesses back in 1999. You all remember! Britney, Christina, Mandy, and Jessica.
God, I hated that time! When Grunge died, all music began to suck!

BTW, you all have no idea how cathartic this is for me. I highly recommend you all do this. I know its silly, but when you get bombarded with news stories about celebs who don't matter (i.e. Paris and Lindsay) your head feels like it wants to explode!
And no, I don't hate these people. I just wouldn't want to work with them and/or shake their hands and/or acknowledge their being of existance. Is that too harsh?

Well, nobody can accuse you of not being sure of yourself or being modest for that matter. I don't want to be a downer for you, but how do you know - other than what you yourself think of them - how good the things are that you've written? I know enough people who are/were very creative and active from an even earlier age than you, some of whom even had their work (books) published. Yet, the greatness you see in your own future is very rare. Have you submitted any of your works to professionals to take a look at, or do you want to be strictly independent?

Hey, I think it's fantastic and wish you all the best!
I am curious what you think about my girl Amy Winehouse?

First off, hey and welcom to GR. But I have to know, how in the world can you hate Johnny Depp? The man's got talent and looks. That's a rare combo these days. Ok, rant over.
Celebs I don't like:
Paris Hilton- for obvious reasons
Lindsay Lohan- She threw away any talent she had
Natalie Portman- She's a good actress but for some reason she annoys me and I can't put my finger on why.
Hilary Duff- She seems like a sweet girl but, IMHO, the poor dear can't act.
Tom Cruise- Can't act and, let's face it, is INSANE!
Wilmer Valderama- Good God is this man annoying, on screen and off.
Oprah/Dr. Phil- Ego with legs not to mention full of bull shit.
Eddie Murphy- His acting is ok but since the whole baby-daddy thing I just can't look at him
Orlnado Bloom- Not the best actor in the world, mind you I've only seen him in Pirates. But man alive is he purdy!
I'll think of more I'm sure...

^I used to kind of like Jack Black and now he just gets on my f*cking nerves.
Reality TV "stars" are the most ridiculous people on the planet.
I think it would be easier to make a list of actors we like--the lists are probably shorter.

Honestly, I'm very realistic as to what can and cannot happen in my career and in life. One of the reasons, I believe, that people don't succeed is because many of them put a time limit or just give up. You can't put a limit on acting. You can't say "I'll give it six months." It just doesn't work that way. It could take six weeks or six years, but you cannot give up if you're truly passionate about it. People do bring you down, but the thing is to not take them seriously.
It's funny. I want to do both, indie and mainstream. I want to do have the status/clout of Tom Hanks or Julia Roberts and be able to make my own films. I want complete control and final cut, but I can't do that unless I'm worth $20 million a picture. I have a very DIY approach to my acting/writing and vision on how my scripts should play out, which is why I want to direct and produce.
