TLC did something similar recently, "The Greatest Fashion Icons in Film"; they also compared George Clooney to Cary Grant, and Gwyneth Paltrow to Grace Kelly:

These current stars don't hold a candle to the Old Hollywood legends- in class, style, or looks (and probably acting talent, as well).

My uncle LOVED Grace Kelly and he also loves Gwyneth Paltrow. He believes they're very similar. I dont see it either.

Christina Aguilera does work the Jean Harlow look - intentionally, I'm sure. I think she does it pretty well from time to time.

I think Natalie Portman has resembled Audrey in some photos. I also think the Brad Pitt/Robert Redford one is spot on.
Oh, and Miss Scarlet *wishes* she resembled Marilyn Monroe.

What an insult to old hollywood!  Scarlett Johansson looks nothing like Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn was beautiful. I can see some physical resemblance in some of them, but that's all. None of the people today have the class or talent of old school hollywood. Christina Aguilera = Jean Harlow? Please.
