Plenty of women think 2 men kissing is hot...hell 50% of the audience for shows like Queer As Folk are straight females...but you still don't see men doing this in droves like the women. And that's because if there's one thing a man won't normally compromise to get attention, it's his sexuality (real or perceived).

I think if men could get convinced by women that this is "hot" in the same way women have been convinced by men, you'll have several guys "turning bi". But it'll never happen because you'll never get enough of a consensus/approval on this from women as a whole to the extent that women have gotten from guys. Lots of women are (or would be) threatened by this behavior from men because in general women are less secure. And would probably take their goodies and go home and not be willing to play the game at all if they had to compete with other MEN for a man.

I've never made out with a girl and don't have any desire to. However, if by some chance I got super drunk and did, I assume the reason would only to be to get the attention of any males. If I was truly interested in sexual activity with a girl, I certainly wouldn't be doing it in the presence of many drunk rowdy people, rather in privacy. Its all for attention. Thats why GGW has been such a huge success.

Stuff like this fascinates me, see when I was 12/13 I didn't even know what a BJ was. Call me naive, but I think that's how things should be!

My 15 year old cousin is into boys, boys, boys. I just hope she is careful, she is naive in some ways, but not in others. I guess you have to learn from experience right?

I think many girls who do the hoochie girl on girl kissing are after attention, and like the idea of being talked about the next day. "Did you see what so and so did last night?" etc.

When you grow up you realise how embarassing things you did in the past were, so hopefully these girls will learn.

I kind of dispair sometimes....I wish (some) girls had more ambition than being a guy's arm candy.

Why Men Don’t Respect Women, and Why They SHOULDN’T! by yours truly

Yes, you read the title of my blog entry correctly. Men do not respect women anymore. Why the hell should they? Now, I can just feel the glaring coming from all of my female friends right now, but just hear me out before you start bitching at me:

Go to a bar/club, on any given night and just observe the females for a bit. I can pretty much guarantee you will see drunk little girls making out with one another, grinding on each other, ALL to get the attention of men. And of course the men love it! Of course they encourage it! They’re men. Men are visual creatures by nature, for them, they see a couple of girls going at it, they think, hey, double the fun! I know it’ll be cake to get into any of these girls pants! Easy ass, fantastic!

Uhhh...wow. Completely blows my mind! So I decided to research a bit. After several discussions with my male friends, I asked each of them a simple question:

“Can you respect a woman like that?”

You know what every single one of them said?

“Of course not Amanda! Hell no! Come on…it’s just fun, they make it easy!”

They make it easy…I repeat, THEY MAKE IT EASY! Wow, who’d have thought we’d come to this ladies? What ever happened to the men chasing us? What ever happened to good ole fashioned courting? How about gasp, the men doing the work and asking for our number instead of us just flinging it out, along with the ass to go with it? And here's a big one…what ever happened to making him wait???? When did sex stop being sacred to us? Do STD's not even phase people anymore?

It’s important to note that I do understand that sex and love do not go hand in hand. One night stands can and will happen…totally understandable. Alcohol and hormones can get to the best of us and I believe that everyone gets a couple “get out of jail free” cards now and again. I'm not talking about that. It's the little sluts these days...I don't get it. It completely baffles me that women have lowered themselves to acting like whores, yes WHORES, just to get a man to look at them. Just because "it's cool". We can blame it on the boomers (i.e. our parents) high divorce rate and/or lack of male attention from “daddy” growing up, the media, Girls Gone Wild, trendiness or whatever you will. Fact is--women have more opportunities today than ever before and we are drastically lowering ourselves to getting next to nothing as far as respect goes from men. It’s the 1950’s again!

Why does this anger me so? Well, as a single, 30 year old woman, I do not understand this behavior and I find it appalling. Finding a decent man in this day and age is getting next to impossible! Why buy the cow when a man can get the milk for free from some whore at a bar who’s willing to go to the bathroom and give away a free ride? Call me a prudish priss, I don’t care. Guess that’s the label that comes along with having a bit of self respect and dignity in this day and age.

Please note as an important sidebar, I am not talking about actual lesbians and/or actual bisexuals. What I am talking about are ATTENTION SEEKING SLUTTY ASS WHORES! I honestly have more respect personally for prostitutes-at least they get paid for it.

I think another part of it is that women feel immense competition between each other. Hot guy in the room, girls are falling over themselves with "who's going to get him." Like the Bachelor, that show makes me want to puke. Guys are not falling over themselves for us, cut-throating each other to land a chick.

It would have been a cold day in hell before I 'showed my ass' like this to get men's attention in my single days. You're supposed to impress ME assface!(not the other way around) was my credo. Never lacked for male attention. As a matter of fact, I got enough that it was annoying. Not bragging at all here, just honest. Men might like looking at live porn for a few minutes, but ultimately they're going to chase the ones that pose a little more of a challenge if they're men worth bothering with at all.

Gawd, you made me laugh out loud!!!!!Good one, and so true. It's also funny to me that many of these dumb bitches probably think that any woman who criticizes their behavior must surely be jealous. I was looking a t a photo on Yahoo! news about the new Grils Gone Wild themed restaurant. They were all lined up posing in their tank tops and minis and they had not an ounce of sex appeal between the whole bunch of them.
