That's so weird that they take so much niacin...that stuff gives you an awful rash and nausea if you take more than the RDA.

She also spent an absolute FORTUNE on the "courses". I remember her taking a loan out (I wonder what she told the bank it was for) for about $25,000, and she would get bills for thousands each month. And she was only in it for about a year. When she stopped going, they sent her these really weird letters (she left all this stuff lying around...a cry for help maybe?), it would basically be a piece of paper that someone had handwritten that just said stuff like, "Hope to see you soon", or "Haven't seen you in awhile". Just one line, that was it. Very strange.

Not gonna tip toe around the topic because Sparklehead is amongst us.
CO$ IMO is a money making business. They use terrorist practices to keep people in line. They control their followers at every level. They live by greed.
If one runs out of money, where are they then for their members?
go to Operation Clambake - The Inner Secrets Of Scientology to read about a once rich members pleas for help before he finally offed himself, only after they drained every last penny he had, then ignored him and denied him any help or support.
I know they tell members not to go online, ever. But there is no escaping it now.
Not a cult, my ass.

I love this thread!
Some random celeb sightings.. Mischa Barton was standing behind me in line at the Atlanta airport a few yrs ago, she was complaining to her mom about something, I wasnt really paying attention but I heard someone behind me whining and I turned around and recognized her as the girl from the OC, anyway she was really tall and skinny, she seemed to tower over me and I'm 5"7. Her mom had a British accent, which I thought was odd dunno about that....
I also ran into Mick Jagger at a club in D.C. 2 summers ago he had his own entourage and all his body guards were blocking the table and you could barely see him. But then he came to the dance floor and was dancing with some blonde chick from his clique, who was definitely around my age (23). He looks exactly the same as in pictures, anyway I asked him if I could get a picture with him and he said not right now, so I didnt bother him again.
I've seen alot of celebs at D.C. clubs but I don't even bother them bc theyre usually sitting at their bodyguard protected tables.

The RHCP post reminded me of my friend's father. He toured with Guns 'N Roses in the late 80's as a back-up musician or whatever you call them. Anyway, he said that during the entire tour they just did coke everyday and partied with women. He said they were major drug addicts. He said they were cool guys, but his wife threatened to leave him and take the kids if he didn't quit the drugs, so he left the tour to get away from the free coke. No big secret that G 'N R was into drugs, but it was cool to hear his stories.

Admit it: you're a Scientologist.

As for the "cult" sites, govt watches, I have enough extensive experienceof both (no, not as a suspect, but I would still rather not disclose it on this forum. If you would like to know feel free to ask privately) to know that they mean nothing more than they a) make people uncomfortable, and b) are outside the mainstream and therefore under suspicion. With that said, I'm going to stop talking about it.

Don't be so fucking cowardly. Either bring it or shut your cakehole and crawl back up L. Ron's asshole.

It's actually not at all about being afraid. I regret the effect it's had on this thread (which I enjoy), diverting it from gossip into an entirely separate discussion, which I'm completely up for having with you, minus the personal attacks. As for L. Ron's ass, I have no scientologist agenda what-so-ever, if you read what I've posted I've admitted they're odd and that I'm not one. It was an observation about how they're treated with regards to the way other religions similarly could be accused (including the money issues people have brought up here), the end, no agenda. The fact that I've brought up something from an unpopular standpoint does not mean anything more than it's something I've observed, which feuled thought, and now debate. I don't have time this weekend, but perhaps I'll start a thread devoted entirely to this discussion in the appropriate forum of this site. Feel free to "bring it" there once I do, but there's no need for personal attacks. Let the first hand gossip continue!

^^ Oh, please please please PLEASE start that thread. I cannot WAIT to see what kind of excuses you can conjure for these Scimoe retards. Because you cannot deny facts: The "Church" of $cientology is nothing but a cult. It's purpose? Not to save souls, but to make money for the higher-ups. And LOTS of it. "Religion" or "finding happiness" is the ruse to get into the pockets of those that are too gullible, lost or confused or just plain dumb to realize it. And denying that is nothing short of... well... stupid.
