I've had so many different run-ins, and I know so many different people who, in turn, know people, but for the life of me, I'm trying to come up with something-- ANYthing-- that's worth posting in this thread. But so far...................... nada.

Let's see: Taye Diggs is a nice guy, very gracious. And so is Delroy Lindo. Rick Moranis likes seafood, and he's very non-descript in public (he doesn't throw his celebrity around, and in fact, seems a little embarassed by it). Bjork is a freak, but in a good way. And... Ruby Dee is fucking AWESOME. Alfre Woodard is cool, too, and Liza Minelli is a bit thrifty when it comes to wine.

That's all, I guess. *shrug* Oh, yeah: Kristen Johnston actually is NOT a bitch. Go figure.

I don't have the goods on this situation in particular. But I can tell you something about Jessica's character and how she conducts her life..

My old boss is in Jessica's inner circle. A good 6 mos. before Jessica and Nick split up, my boss told me that they had been together for the past year to then as "strictly a business arrangement." She said they were pretending to stay married to further both of their careers and that there were contracts drawn up about the agreement, and much media manipulation involved. That she's so under his thumb and control, and he has stayed so involved in her personal relationships and sexuality, to the point of being extremely inappropriate.

So, all that said, I have no trouble at all believing that Jessica and John Mayer are a complete sham to further both of their careers. The whole thing smacks of the whole Nick/Jessica situation. My boss also implied that the marriage was, from the start, largely intended to be a vehicle to advance both Nick and Jessica's careers.

Yeah, wasn't there a BI about a gay music star bringing home boys but his girlfriend coulda cared less? (I think that was how it went) But it was screaming Jessica and John.

I 100% believe that this Jessica and John Mayer "relationship" is a sham, she is everything he is not, and he seems like the type of guy that makes fun of her behind her back. Papa Simpson is a weirdo, I wouldn't put this arrangement past him!! I wish Nick would out this whole crazy family for what they really are, but I am sure he signed some agreement during the divorce about keeping his mouth shut. Dammit!!

I wholeheartedly agree that the Jessica/john mayer thing is bogus. I totally think thats another ploy. And a rather transparent one at that.

I don't think Nick signed any sort of agreement. I think he is just a classy guy and has too much respect for Jessica to publicly humiliate her any more than she and her creepy father manage to by themselves.

I also think that he might have inside information about her bizarre relationship with Creepy Pa Simpson and feels sorry for her. Even if Jessica doesn't recognize it, I would bet money that her sick father has had this weird, sexual obsession with her since childhood and has, at some point, molested her.

Oh my, y'all, this is awful!!! I found the incest thing funny as long as it was a joke, because it reflects Papa Joe's creepiness.

Please, Calimoonchild, don't tell me there's truth to it. How disgusting would that be? With the whole world watching, too. No wonder she's such a mess.

How come it's ok / we're allowed to speculate on father/daughter incest but not brother/sister incest? Did I miss the criteria notes?

I remember a Mod not allowing this type of conversation previously....

And I agree with Chilly, it was funny when there appeared to be no truth to it. Now its just creepy and sad (for Jessica & probably Ashley too).
