why cant celebs take engagements and marriage seriously, its truly ridiculous they barely know each other and you just know that once they get married they will divorce a year or so later.

Ya, there was a gossip article or something along those lines, that came out a few days ago. Didn't you say before that they would engage next Spring? I read that and got confused.

Won't be much of a surprise to Vanessa if everyone and their dog knows about. Ah, celebs.

NW magazine (again not reputable) states that Nick has proposed but Vanessa rejected because she doesn't feel ready. Assuming any truth in this story, i like that Vanessa rejected him because it is just way too soon to be even thinking of marriage it would be setting himself up for another divorce.

Absolutely! I don't get the guy. Hasn't he learned anything at all from having a public and painful divorce?

Interesting... check out this blind item from NYPost today. Sounds very Nicole Richie to me.

WHICH young Hollywood starlet had secret gastric bypass surgery, but then lost too much weight? During a recent four-day stint at a health clinic, she was actually having an operation to remove the bypass.

I have read that ^^ but from what I have heard its false? And to be honest in my own oppinion, without references, I dont believe it.
Gastric bypass requires a 5-6inch incision down the abdomen
Plus even with the laproscopic bypass there would be some scars like what Star Jones has right? And you cant actually REMOVE a bypass can you? I know you can remove the band from lapband surgrey a la sharon osbourne...

^ I, again, think it's laughable people think she had it done. It just shows you how ignorant people are when it comes to GB. I'm not using that as an insult—it's just true. People who have it done are estimated to lose 100lbs in the first year. It's a HUGE thing and if she had had it done she would have lost a shit load of weight all at once. She didn't. She slowly lost weight throughout the past, what? 4 years? She's also gaining weight and if someone of her stature had it done there's no way she'd be able to.
And also, no, you cannot "remove" GB because there is nothing to remove. They actually cut out a large piece of your stomach and rewire your intestines so you consume less calories. There is no "removing" of it cause they frickin remove your organ in the process! It's possible to stretch your stomach out after a long time but that happens with people who are overweight and not watching what they eat.
I honestly just think that BI proves how ridiculous BI's can be. They're totally fun (I'm laughing my ass off at this one!) but for people to take them seriously... Come on now.

I agree. There's no way she had a gastric bypass, but I can totally see her getting a band or a balloon.

But after they lose the weight and get down to a healthy size, how do they maintain it? I mean, I don't get how they don't just keep losing weight until they waste away to absolutely nothing. I could research it, but you seem to know a lot about it, so I'll just ask you!

FemmeFatale,
I love your gossip and I can confirm that much of it is very, very true. I live in LA and work in a setting where I'm constantly in contact with these people. And you speak the truth, about all of it, from Tom Cruise to Jessica Simpson to Britney.
I can say this about Tom Cruise: he is absolutely gay and he was actually busted in bed with Rob Thomas. Rob's wife Marisol caught them in the act and she was in the process of selling her story to the tabs when Rob/Tom paid her to shut up. This became common knowledge here in LA-- I dont know why it hasn't gotten out more. Probably because Tom likes to sue. Anyway, it was in the midst of this that Tom found/hired Katie: he immediately needed to appear completely heterosexual, ASAP. So he roped Katie into a mutually-beneficial situation, and got her pregnant just in case Marisol did blab. How do I know this? Marisol was stone, blubbering drunk at a party I was at about a yr ago, and she spilled the beans to everyone who would listen, including moi.
I'm too chicken to come forth with some of the other juicy stuff that I know via work because of those EVIL confidentiality agreements that you mentioned earlier. Those things SUCK and spoil all our gossiping fun. BTW, I will say this: you know who is the QUEEN of confidentiality agreements: Lohan. If you are on any of her photoshoot sets, or any place where she is doing an interview or anything remotely business-related, everyone signs them. And by everyone, I mean EVERYONE, right down to the waitstaff and the dressers backstage at fashion shows. And she will take you to court. Just look at the mess her ex-assistant has gotten herself into.
Anyway, I digress. Keep gossiping Femme! I'll chime in when I have something interesting to add.
EDIT: i remembered something useful I can say! Ashlee Simpson had a partial face-lift, in addition to her nose job. The dead giveaway is how her lips are always in that annoying half-smile. Her skin was pulled waaaaay too tight and it can't relax anymore. She also has absolutely no slack or normal give of skin under her chin, and her eyes are super-wide now. The girl is insane.
