Re: First-Hand Celebrity Gossip
My brother met Kate Beckinsale in London, while she was doing press for Serendipity. Her bodyguard was trying to keep the fans away, but she walked up to my bro (it helps that he's 6 foot 6 and pretty damn attractive, i must say, lol) and said hello anyway, and they talked for about 20 minutes and complained about the cold weather, and he said shes really nice and prettier in person. Oh, and her high heels were HIGH!

Re: First-Hand Celebrity Gossip
I live in Los Angeles and have met my fair share of celebrities through the years.
Gotta tell you girls - I've met both Vince Vaughn and Brad Pitt and I think Vince is, hands' down, way more sexy than Brad Pitt... Some of you may think that I'm crazy, but it's the truth...

Alpha is Brad still a major stoner? The time I met him he was flying on weed so high he could barely string words together.
Will do bella!

Re: First-Hand Celebrity Gossip
Brad was a TOTAL stoner - much shorter than I expected and the skin wasn't looking great either.
Vince, on the otherhand, was pretty damn sexy. Much taller than I thought and he had a really good personality - kind of like George Clooney. He's got that extra spark that I think we expect when we meet a celebrity...
Only other one that I can say that about was Bruce Willis - totally charming and he had that smirk that I remember from 'Moonlighting.'
Billy Bob Thorton - nice as hell, but a REAL hick...
Demi Moore - pre-surgery days with Bruce, sort of bland but I heard she became more demanding through the years...hence the 'Gimme Moore' nickname.
John Stamos - pretty much what you'd expect
Robin Williams - actually quite shy and almost 'impish'...
Adam Sandler - you see what you get - nice, normal, down-to-earth fellow
David Bowie - odd, but not in a bad way... very eccentric-
Heather Graham - does the phrase 'dumb blonde' give you a clue?
Meg Ryan - NOT a very nice person, and the opposite of what you'd expect her to be from her romantic comedy roles... (And we thought she wasn't a very good actress!)
Oh, and under the Heather Graham comment you can add Denise Richards - very pretty girl but damn, not the sharpest tool in the shed...
Sorry if that sounds harsh - but living in L.A. for so long, you kind of get used to seeing very attractive people who don't seem to think that they need to develop personalities. As my boyfriend always says - the two prettiest girls from every small town in America move to Los Angeles to try and make it in the 'business..'

Re: First-Hand Celebrity Gossip
I've lived in Los Angeles my whole damn life and never once came in contact with a celeb, but hearing about all the dumb shit they do, it makes me think am I missing out on anything from just seeing them?

Re: First-Hand Celebrity Gossip
Fierce
My second trip to LA I went to the movies somewhere in West Hollywood and saw Jacqueline Bisset. Same trip I saw Dean Cane, Richard Chamberlain at the Beverly Center and Julianne Moore. Had a burger at Johnny Rockets and Robert Downey Jr. was having one too. Maybe it comes from living in NY where my eye is tuned in to seeing celebs.

Re: First-Hand Celebrity Gossip
For whatever reason, I tended to meet sports or music celebrities when I was younger - haven't met any lately! lol.
Because they're now kind of "obscure" I've included pics below as a reference:
Muhammad Ali - he spoke at my high school back in the 70s. He signed autographs for EVERYONE in line - there had to be at least 200 of us! When it was my turn, I almost passed out, he was like a real-live super hero to us kids back then. He was in his late 30s or so, but he was so damn handsome, tall and VERY nice. Just classy and polite, very softspoken. None of the poetic rants he had with Foreman back then. So sad what's happened to him.
Arnold Palmer - Golf legend and another class act. Met him at a golf tournament in the 70s at which I was working as a gopher/caddy. Signed autographs, smiled and had a warm handshake. He posed for a bunch of pictures with me and my friends. He was very "mid-western" down to earth. I don't think I ever saw him drink booze or act rude to anyone.
Severiano Ballesteros - Spanish pro golf legend and a prima donna. He sulked and wouldn't speak to anyone when he played badly. Thus he gets no picture here.
Fuzzy Zoeller - He played in a golf tournaments in the 80s at a country club for which I worked as a banquet server. At the end of each day, he'd hang out in the bar with "the help," buy us rounds and tell the most obscene stories and jokes. One cool thing about him, though - he was a gentleman with women.
Huey Lewis (& the News) - they came to my college campus to play a charity softball game back in the early 80s, at their prime. Huey was TOTALLY HOT. My roommate dared me to pinch one of their shirts - which I did, right before the game. When the game started, imagine how bad I felt when Huey, who was pitching, was the only one "out of uniform." I think I still have his shirt somewhere.

Re: First-Hand Celebrity Gossip
My Grandmother (who is now 92) saw the Beatles in Heathrow Airport back in 1964. She had no f-ing clue what the hell was going on, she was on her way back home to PA (waiting to board her plane) and there was a serious ruckus (her word) and all kinds of screaming and yelling. She thought the Queen was there, but then someone pointed out to the runway and said that the Beatles were home from the US and everyone was there to greet them. She was like WHO? But saw them deplane and come out on the runway. She said she would never forget the hysteria of it all. She'd never seen or heard anything like. To this day she has no idea who the Beatles are.......

From what I've seen & heard, I don't think the Beatles knew who the Beatles were half the time!

Re: First-Hand Celebrity Gossip
A friend of mines knows a guy who was in "Just Friends" {i think just like, an extra} with Ryan Reynolds, and he said that he is a complete asshole. Like, wouldnt sign autographs for fans, and just hit on all the girls and stuff like that.

Re: First-Hand Celebrity Gossip
^^ Damn shame because he is HOT. How did Alanis get lucky like that? Maybe there's something to all of her "theater" talk.
I think VV is better than Brad Pitt too but I have a hard time getting past his voice and weird accent. Hell, I've lived in Chicago my whole life and that's not a Chicago accent at all.
