Angelina & Billy Bob
Actor/director Billy Bob Thornton bought his wife, Angelina Jolie, a pet rat as a present. They named it Harry, although it's a female. Harry often travels with Angelina Jolie when she's working on a flick. While Angelina was filming a movie in Vancouver, Canada, Harry munched the drapes in her hotel room. Maybe room service didn't bring his cheese!

Recent events with captive tigers has led to a flurry of media interest in exotic pet ownership, including a USA Today item about celebrity ownership of exotic pets. Did you know Elvis had kangaroos and a chimpanzee? Mike Tyson had tigers (now at a refuge), Michael Jackson's ranch is home to a veritable zoo (although his tigers are also at a refuge), and Hugh Hefner actually has a zoo license. There are a couple more listed in the story, but my favorite example is missing: George Clooney is said to be quite devoted to his pot bellied pig, Max.

I used to watch Marlene Cowpland's show on TV, it was all about celebrity pets. She'd have celebrities and their pets on and they'd just blab about all the cute things their dogs do. That was it, she didn't talk about up coming projects they were into or any publicity kind of stuff like that, just pet talk. It was a nice show. Marlena seems like a sincerely nice person and is a huge animal lover...despite the fact she dyes her dog fuschia.

Are cats the new dog? Both Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie were recently seen buying cats in Hollywood within days of each other, which is sure to set a new kitty cat trend.

And speaking of copycats, Paris is currently out and about promoting her album that drops on August 22. Nicole has now announced to Scotland's Daily Record newspaper that she has 6 songs done on her new album and she'll be ready to rock when she has about 10 songs finished.
Meow! More claws yet to come out in the ever-present Nicole/Paris cat fight.

It makes me really sad to see those most of the dogs and cats are purebreds and not shelter dogs. Both Paris and Nicole bought purebred cats when there are millions in shelters that are just as beautiful and loving. Stupid celebrities.

As the weather heats up, Chloe Moretz has come up with an interesting way to keep her pet pooch cool in the summer.
The Dark Shadows star was spotted collecting two of her dogs from the pet groomers today – and one of them had a cool new haircut.
Her pooch Fuller was just as trendy as his famous owner after his fur had been shaven into a Mohawk style all the way across his back.

She was also collecting her miniature poodle Bella, and the 15-year-old carried the fluffy little pup in her arms as she took the two dogs for a walk.
Chloe was joined by her brother Trevor, who held Fuller’s leash as the foursome strolled in the Los Angeles sunshine.
Chloe usually looks older than her tender teen years but the star today appeared fresh-faced with no make-up and her blonde locks tied into a messy bun.

She was dressed casually to run errands in a grey and white striped jumper, black skinny jeans and matching canvas shoes.
Meanwhile Trevor, who doubles as his little sister’s acting coach, sported a white T-shirt and stonewashed jeans.
Chloe’s pooch Fuller was named after director Bryan Fuller, who helmed The Amityville Horror which was one of Chloe’s first big film projects.
The actress is set to take the lead role in the highly anticipated remake of Brian de Palma's Carrie which is set to be 'darker and more psychological' than the original 1976 horror film.

She will play the titular role of a bullied schoolgirl who discovers she has psychic powers and uses them to cause havoc in her hometown - and revealed the movie will have similarities to 2010 psychological thriller Black Swan.
She said: 'It's darker and much more psychological. More Black Swan. You're really looking into her mind and it really looks into the relationship of Margaret and Carrie.
'It's set in modern time, so it's a lot different.'

The remake will take more inspiration from the Stephen King novel of the same name. Julianne Moore will take the Piper Laurie role as Carrie's mother. Sissy Spacek played the original Carrie.
She admitted: 'I'm actually not looking at the original, even though De Palma's movie was one of the best movies ever made.
'It's completely iconic and I'm proud to be able to be doing a retooling of it. We're kind of going off the book.'
