I completely agree with the above. I rarely use the word 'hate' for even people in RL that have wronged me or my family, I won't use it for some celeb just because I find them tacky. So yes, I hate people like Jacko or Tyson, because I'd hate anybody who commits such vile crimes, but someone like Paris? I have fun mocking her, but at the end of the day, I have no strong feelings about her. Sure, some contempt for the ignorant crap she spews, same like with Mel Gibson, but I don't wish her harm.

That's interesting. I think I feel pity for Michael Jackson, then revulsion, whereas with Paris Hilton there's no excuse for her b.s. and therefore I feel utter digust and revulsion for her.

It's one thing to be pathologically ill like Michael Jackson is and be delusional that he's not hurting anyone. But people have witnessed Paris Hilton many times being the ultimate mean girl - intentionally - when there is absolutely no excuse for it. I'm not excusing Michael Jackson at all, it's just that IMO there is a major difference between him and Paris Hilton. My blood pressure is starting to rise as I write this, that's how much I detest her.

I hate Paris Hilton because she's a vile racist bitch. I hate Michael Jackson because he's a pedophile. I hate OJ Simpson because he's a murderer and he gets off on provoking the families of those he killed. I hate Mike Tyson because he's a violent rapist. I hate Joe Francis because he is a misogynistic bastard, and there's quite alot of proof that he's a rapist as well.

Theres alot of people I strongly dislike - Britney, Tom Cruise, etc., but they're not at the same level as the people I hate. The people I hate have deliberately hurt other people.

Well, maybe Paris and Mel Gibson aren't the best example, as both of them are bigots, so it's easier to classify my own feelings towards them more towards 'hate' than, say, the contempt I feel for moron Britney.

But I can't feel pity from someone like MJ. Of course he's ill, but that doesn't change that he probably committed real, tangible evil acts on those kids. Which again, makes him inherently more despicable than someone like Paris or Mel who (as far as we know) are hurtful by words alone.

i also have a strong dislike towards most rappers... i hate their names (50cent, Snoop Dog
