I actually like the vintage-style one, too, but small it ain't. Who's to say what a pram "should" be? The vintage one would be nice for a walk around the block with an infant but useless on rough terrain or with an older baby or toddler. The umbrella stollers (that Grimm advocates) are also useless on rough terrain or with a young infant who can't sit up in one. *shrug*
I say use the pram that fits your purposes. Why wouldn't you take one on a hike? I have this puppy in the woods, through snow, and on trails all the time:
Our dual stroller for the two boys does have a large footprint but it doubles as a kid trailer to be pulled behind a bicycle, which we use constantly - and that's about all the strollers I want to buy!I'm not about to pay for a third just to have something petite to negotiate through a Starbucks.

So much fug in one family, and does the boy have a sunburnt face? I used to think the kids were lucky they took after their father, but now he's almost as gruesome as Tori so I don't think there's much hope for them.
