I was just thinking how the recent celeb passings (Eartha Kitt and
Harold Pinter) were not in the death pool for the past year, right,
even though they were seriously ill.
So, I'm sure there's going to be a few losses that we didn't see
coming, be it natural, accidental or (accidentally) self induced.
I think Heath Ledger was one of those for 2008 and Anne Nicole
for 2007.

On my other board we actually play this as a game. Everyone PM's the moderator a list of names of famous people. Then the lists are posted. You get points for every year under 100 the person is when they dies so younger people are worth more points.

The poster with the most points at the end of the year wins.

Might be fun to do here next year.

Someone mentioned Lauren Bacall upthread. I think she's still got several good years left in her.

Kirk Douglas is way more likely, though I'd hate to see it. I'd be less sad if Micheal Douglas croaked than Kirk.

Of the youngsters, Winehouse could very well make the cut. Even if she goes off the deep end again, I'd be really shocked at Britters going toes up...she's a Spears...you couldn't kill that tard with an axe.

Any Stern listeners think that Artie might be toast this year? Lynnie??
