Damn this is an old thread! Sorry to thread-dig but I didn't want to start a completely new one for just my question. Plus this is the perfect thread for my theory. So I was checking out TMZ and I saw some very interesting pictures. Is it well known that Tom Cruise has herpes? I mean he probably kissed and slept with his wives once or twice...
Here is Katie Holmes
And now we have Nicole Kidman
So this may have been a known rumor that Tommy does have it, I've just never heard it before. Thanks for any answers!
P.S. I tried searching but the #1 hit was, First-hand Celebrity Rumors and I did not want to read through 120 pages!

correct me if I'm wrong. But Herpes on your lips and mouth is not the same type as the herpes that infects the genitals. As far as I know, if you talk about herpes, you mean the second one.
I know a lot of people with the first herpes, that one showing on the pics of Katie Holmes. My brother for example has it since he's a little child; my mother and my father never had it, my other brother and me don't have it neither.
My boyfriend has that "lip-herpes" too, but never infected me. From what I've heard, a lot of people do have that virus, but never show any signs. You can cure it sometimes with a Vitamin, called "L-Lysin" (something you find for example in parmesan cheese )
So not everybody with lip-herpes has it because of a "nasty behaviour" or something like that...

Adam Sandler also has the Herp. I know someone that fucked him while he was on 'Remote Control'..
No, not me. Even drunk off my ass I wouldn't touch him.

Exactly: little kids (toddlers) get it when their immune system is a bit down.
We see it around us all the time: it clears, then it comes back, it clears,
then it comes back, roughly in the same spots.

^ you can get it when you drink from the same glass as somebody with lip-herpes. And from kissing of course. Even from touching... handshaking for example.
But you can have that lip-herpes virus without even know it, because it does not break out...

I think Katie said she contacted herpes when she was a child. I don't remeber any rumors of Tommy having herpes.
Brad Pitt supposedly has herpes which means he could have passed it to Gwyneth, Jennifer and Angelina. Colin Farrell definetly has it, he annouced it on Leno.

I've gotten cold sores AKA lip herpes since I was a little kid. Both my parents get them too so I'm sure I got it from one of them. It's a different type of herpes virus than genital herpes and you can get it from kissing, sharing a glass or chapstick. And, no, it doesn't mean you have genital herpes. Really people.
I get an outbreak once or twice a year when I'm sick or really stressed (because the immune system is weakened). They're SO painful and ugly and embarrassing. And Valtrex taken early when you feel the first "tingle" of a sore coming on can keep the sore really small and speed the healing. So just because someone has a script for Valtrex doesn't mean they have genital herpes.

My friends little boy has that, and she cleared it up with l-lysin. She used a supplement form and a lip balm with l-lysin in it for a while, and so far it hasn't come back for him.

bad story, but when i was younger my ex boyfriend gave me a teeny little diamond ring and i was giving him a 'job' of sorts and rubbed his 'thingie' diamond side in. morning after and it's all red and blistery looking. he phoned me and said 'i need you to tell me the truth, do you have herpes?' i'm like 'not that i know of' he said 'i think you had some on your hand and spread it on me..'
the doctor told him it was the result of 'too vigorous rubbing' haha, he probably thought the ex jerked himself into injury.

BTW, my dentist told me that Lysine works on canker sores too. 500mg twice daily for 2 days...bye, bye canker sore!
