Post Is Chris Brown's career over?

Seeing that the Chris Brown thread is having a life force of it's own, I thought I'd put up a poll to ask what GR'ers think about Brown's future career prospects. What do you all think, is he finished? Or do you think like I do, that this is only a minor bump and that he will be back sooner than later?

He'll be back. Maybe not immediately, but I do think it will happen. If he had done this to someone who was actually respected in the industry, or a "sweetheart" type, it would be a different story. But I think that Rihanna rubs a lot of people the wrong way. She seems to be widely disliked, and her reputation as a diva/bitch who fucks for tracks will afford him a lot more acceptance than he would have otherwise received.

As Hollywood is a culture of forgive-and-forget, I think that people are going to want to give him a second chance. However, compared to drug addiction, DUIs and the like, domestic violence is a big deal. I think he can come back, but I would think that it's a matter of does he want to come back.

I would say it's too soon to say at this point however, I am definitely leaning toward he'll be back. With the exception of OJ, few celebs' careers have been completely over following a scandal.
It will depend on what he is convicted of (if anything) and how the details pan out.

He'll be back. I mean his actions are the ultimate in Douchebaggery but I am not ashamed to admit I like some of his songs (and ashamedly LOVE 'Forever'). Yeah, I don't want to put money in a wifebeater's pocket but I can't deny that I like his music and won't skip/delete the songs off my iPod because of this. I think HE is a huge twat and needs serious therapy but I do NOT link him to his music. If that makes sense.

EDIT: I have never bought any of his music and will definitely not start now

Doublemint gum ads have been removed, his music will no longer receive radio airplay and his upcoming Got Milk ads have been pulled. Nope, no come back for him.
