We're Just Not That Into Them: Stars we're tired of
We're Just Not That Into Them - Photo Gallery on Yahoo! Movies
RENEE ZELLWEGER
Biggest Box Office Gross: "Chicago" -- $170,687,518
Most Recent Box Office Gross: "New in Town" -- $8,628,291 (and counting)
Zellweger raked in piles of cash and got an Oscar nomination for "Chicago," but her most recent turn as a rom-com lead tanked in "New in Town."
KATE HUDSON
Biggest Box Office Gross: "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" -- $105,813,373
Most Recent Box Office Gross: "Bride Wars" -- $54,298,710
Kate Hudson hit box-office gold with "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and more or less has been trying to duplicate that success for the past five years. "Bride Wars" hints that that well might just be drying up.
KEIRA KNIGHTLEY
Biggest Box Office Gross: "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" -- $423,315,812
Most Recent Box Office Gross: "The Duchess" -- $13,848,978
Comparing summer blockbusters to British costume dramas might not be completely fair, but Knightley has been getting a bit too much mileage out of her hoop skirt, bodice, silly hair combo.
KEANU REEVES
Biggest Box Office Gross: "The Matrix Reloaded" -- $154,696,080
Most Recent Box Office Gross: "The Day the Earth Stood Still" -- $78,807,677
"The Matrix" was a huge hit for Keanu. The second "Matrix" flick, even more so. But the middling performance of his latest flick -- which had the budget of $80 million -- seems to indicate that audiences are growing bored of Reeves in over-cooked Sci-fi flicks.
JESSICA ALBA
Biggest Box Office Gross: "Fantastic Four" -- $281,576,461
Most Recent Box Office Gross: "The Eye" -- $78,807,677
Though she might still grace the covers of fashion magazines, Jessica Alba starred in a string of C-grade horror flicks, which hasn't done much to burnish her career. She needs to don those "Fantastic Four" leotards again.
MIKE MYERS
Biggest Box Office Gross: "Shrek 2" -- $441,226,247
Most Recent Box Office Gross: "The Love Guru" -- $32,235,793
The first Austin Powers movie was funny. The third, mildly amusing. "Love Guru" was so spectacularly unfunny that it might actually cause damage to the humor section of the brain. Worse, it was also a huge box-office bomb.
NICOLE KIDMAN
Biggest Box Office Gross: "Happy Feet" -- $198,000,317
Most Recent Box Office Gross: "Australia" -- $49,054,498
Forbes magazine singled out Kidman as being the most overpaid celebrity in Hollywood. With the exception of providing the voice to an animated penguin in "Happy Feet," she has recently starred in multiple movies that fizzled at the box-office, the most recent being that over-ripe yawn-fest called "Australia."
EDDIE MURPHY
Biggest Box Office Gross: "Shrek 2" -- $441,226,247
Most Recent Box Office Gross: "Meet Dave" -- $11,803,254
Though the "Shrek" franchise made piles of cash, Eddie Murphy's highest grossing non-animated flick was all the way back during the Reagan administration with "Beverly Hills Cop 2." Murphy might want to avoid fat suits and high concept movie ideas in the future and instead make something that's actually funny.

Well, there's Tom Cruise. Then, there's, uh, Tom Cruise. How about Tom Cruise? And his lovely and talented spouse, Katie "Kate Cruise" Holmes?

I am still into Keanu Reeves, but I think that is just his looks.

I've never been one to see a movie just because a certain actor/actress is or isn't starring in it. For me it's about the movie and whether the story or movie itself looks interesting. Now, if I hear that the acting was terrific or that it sucked, it may influence my decision, but it's not usually the actors themselves. Make crappy movies and no one will see them.

On some of these movies there is no comparison. How can you compare anything that Keira Nightley does with Pirates? That was Johnny's movie and a huge blockbuster. I love Renee...even with her puckered I just a a basket of lemons lips. Bridget Jone's diary is one of my all time favorite movie.

Eddie Murphy just makes crap now. Not into him anymore. How about adding Matthew McConahey (sp-ugh) to this list.

Jessica Alba definitely makes my list for "tired."
Oh, so does Katherine Heigl.

Add Kate Beckinsale to the list. And Ben Affleck.

I can't agree with you about her movies, but she is definitely cute. Cuter than her mother was when she was young, imo. But she lacks Goldie's charm and charisma. I watched Foul Play again (for the umpteenth time) the other night and Goldie was so fetching in that movie.

Agreed. No one went to Pirates to watch Keira. You can't compare Happy Feet to Australia. You can't compared any animated movie to a scripted on. Different audience. It has nothing to do with the bankability of a star.
