Quote:
SIENNA Miller has been voted the most inspirational celebrity of 2005, in a survey of teenage girls in the UK.
The West End actress still went on stage despite being betrayed by cheating boyfriend Jude Law.
And Sienna, 23, got her own back by flirting with ex Orlando Bloom and having a fling with the new 007 Daniel Craig. Anna Brog, editor of magazine Sugar, said: "She's handled some terrible lows with dignity and strength."

Re: Most Inspirational Celebrities of 2005
Oh where do I begin??? Sienna Miller? Inspires girls to do what exactly? Let a lying rat cheat on them and then just take them back?
Kerry Katona? My bf is from the town she grew up in and he knows for a fact that she was the biggest slut around, half the men he knows have slept with her!
Kylie Minougue, OK I'l agree with that one she is a brave woman.
Hilary Duff what has she done exactly?
Charlotte Church, I like her but I wouldn't call her inspiratinal, she's just a normal teenager who enjoys going out and getting drunk!
Jesica Simpson? She's a dumbass!
Paris Hilton, inspiring young girls to sleep around, flash their punanees and see how many of your friends ex's you can bed.
Jessica Alba, meh I dunno.
Christina Aguilera, doesn't necasserily inspire me but she's OK I like her.

Re: Most Inspirational Celebrities of 2005
Tiara you're actually the most entitled to give your opinion on this thread because you're a teenage girl in the UK, exactly the target of this survey!!
Well apparently they didn't consider your opinion though

Most of these women merely inspire me to yawn.
The ones in bold inspire me to break a pool cue over their heads.

Re: Most Inspirational Celebrities of 2005
I showed this to my teenage daughter and she said the only one she felt was right was Kylie AND she actually knew that Kylie is battling Breast cancer. She said she couldn't really think of a good one...most other are"Hoes".

^^ Further proof that these lists are compiled by publicists
and other media pimples and have no relation to the opinions
of the buying public.

Re: Most Inspirational Celebrities of 2005
None are inspirational to me. Kylie is not more inspirational than any other woman fighting cancer, it's not like having a disease and getting a cure makes you a hero

I have to say I agree with you.
I can't see why any of these girls would be inspirational to anyone for something that goes beyond style or music, I mean superficial things.
Kylie included.

Re: Most Inspirational Celebrities of 2005
I understand what you mean Barbara. Its not like Kylie asked to have cancer, its just an unfortunate thing that happens to some people and theres nothing they can do but get through it. I suppose people just see them as brave because they pity them an would hate to be in their shoes.
My brother had to have chemo a few years ago and it is a really tough thing to go through but he doesn't see himself as a hero, just another person who had a disease that he had to get rid of. Its not like saying no I don't want chemo is even an option. Anyone would do whatever it takes to get better.
You do have to have to be brave to a certain extent though. Some days my brother felt like killing himself, he developed Hemorrhagic cystitis and had to have a catheter the size of a golf ball inserted in to his bladder to remove the clots. There was another 17 year old boy in hospital at the same time as my brother who couldn't handle it all so he killed himself. So although going through chemo isn't something that people do intentionally therefore it isn't their choice to do it. I still think it is brave to put up with it and keep on going even though at times you may feel there is no hope.
Saying that though, chemo can be a breeze for some people, I've witnessed that too, your hair falls out, you feel a little sickly at times but thats it.
Like you said Barbara, Kylie isn't the only one so I wouldn't exactly call her inspirational either.

Re: Most Inspirational Celebrities of 2005
There's a difference between 'INspirational' and 'ASpirational'. I would put all the bimbos on the list in the latter category - stupid, talentless bints who the average no-hoper teenager probably does actually admire. Sigh. If you want Inspirational, try the young Aussie girl who has voluntarily spent the last year in Thailand helping to identify the mangled remains of thousands of tsunami victims.......
