Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
god.....those photoshops are so bad lol
but i agree she DOES look better
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
Wow what a difference, she does not look like a joke covered up, she almost laughable with her skanky style.
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
Those pictures are hillarious, the photoshop work is so bad, the third set down are unbelievably poor.
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
I love the one before the last, in the white pants and top.. The pants look way better than the skanky hot pants!
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
They are so crappy looking! I don't see why they had to be ammended anyway. Its not like her nipples were on show.
Its like when I went to Egypt and walked over from the pool which was literally metres away from the bar in my bikini top and a skirt and they wouldn't serve me until I put a T shirt on!!!!!
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
Its funny how they were first photoshopped to make her look sexier (slimming her down etc) then photoshoped to completely reverse the process the other way and cover her up. You're right she does look better with less on show - more demure, some of the outfits made me laugh though, I especially like the pink vest that transforms into a long length shirt with collars!
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
I like the photoshopped ones. Except for the last one, that's just silly
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
good her fat ugly ass needs to be covered!
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
I love how they took out "I heart NY", couldn't have that.

I'm sorry, but to me it's so sadly pathetic...get a grip people
(In the "#1's cover Mariah has an amazing body!!)
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
I agree, the Photoshop jobs are shite. But what's with the ire if they cover her up? They don't have to 'get a grip'. It's their culture/religious practice not to show the revealing parts of the body. At least they didn't put her in a burqa (not even a sparkly one).
I saw the I love NY thing too. If I was going to reconstruct a whole shirt, I would take it out too. The letters are angled weirdly where it's obvious there's a cut at the neckline. The guys ps-ing these pics are not going to be able to handle that. C'mon, look at their 'skill'. I don't think there's anything nefarious to read into on that one.
All that being said. Mariah is a skanky ho.

I'm sure someone at this board could photoshop that sparkly one on her. :P

Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
I think its interesting how they can actually do that, I mean that they are allowed to change the appearance of the pics so drastically. In any way, this should show that you dont need to flash everything but the nipples and vagina to sell a goddamn music cd:P
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
Hello??? We are talking about Saudi Arabia here people! The most strictly orthodox Islamic country in the world. Women are not allowed to DRIVE there, let alone parade like ho's on CD covers. In many ways those altered pics of Mariah would STILL be considered immodest and inappropriate in a country where women remain totally covered when venturing out of their homes.
Tiara - I know it must have come as a shock to be asked to cover up, but Egypt is an Islamic country too and certain social rules apply, even to tourists. Personally, I think the least visitors can do is respect those customs, even if they seem 'ridiculous'. I visited Dubai recently and to be honest I was appalled at the disrespectful behaviour of some of the (British) tourists. We went on a couple of tours and were asked beforehand to dress appropriately (cover up shoulders and knees) because we would be visiting local places of interest. Yet some women still turned up in skimpy tops and short shorts. It's just so disrespectful. We were also told that non-Muslims were not permitted to enter any mosque (fair enough) and that if we wished to take photos of any local people we should ask their permission first (fair enough again). These bloody slappers went rushing INTO the first mosque we came to, video cameras rolling, dressed for the beach. They were quickly booted out but incidents like this give us a tiny insight into why 'Westerners' are not always welcomed with open arms to countries whose customs they arrogantly or ignorantly choose to ignore.
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
Why didn't Mariah's people just change the covers
and issue about 40-50,000 copies of her albums with
modest cover art? After all, they spent a lot of money
photoshopping her legs to make them look longer, didn't they? ;)
Re: Mariah Carey CD covers in Saudi Arabia
They're all laughably awful, but that last one cracked me up. It looks like the cat melted across her shoulders.

When even ARMS are considered a revealing part of the body to the point that they have to be covered at least down to the elbow, then YES, my reply is "GET A GRIP".
