Most psychotic female celebrity of all-time?
Heather Mills, for me. The original bunny boiler.

I would have initially thought Joan Crawford but I just read an article in I think Vanity Fair that kind of made me think Christina had a major ax to grind over some other things. I remember watching that movie with friends in high school waiting for blotter to kick in; wtf.

Yeah she had an axe to grind..she probably saved the damn axe from when her mom went nuts and cut down the rose bushes and then chopped down the citrus tree with that axe after getting shafted by Mayer. Remember the famous line?.."TINA!!! ..BRING ME THE AXE!!!"

Fuck yeah!!!!!!! That is too funny.
My favorite scene is after the wire hangers and there's comet all over the bathroom and she says "Now clean this mess up" and then Christina's all by herself and the little boy comes in and she's all "no, go strap yourself back in" or some such nonsense.
Seriously, Christina and the older boy were sort of "disowned" by Joan Crawford for some reason or another and she actually had adopted twins as well; I can't even remember ever seeing them in Mommy Dearest... hmmmm.

^ I've always thought it would be interesting to know Joan's side of the story with that whole "Mommie Dearest" thing.
I think Courtney Love is pretty freaking psychotic, and don't forget about Angelina Jolie. Pre-Brad, she was a fucking lunatic and I honestly don't think she's changed that much. She's just better at hiding it now.

Margot Kidder had a good run:
In 1996, as she was preparing to writer her autobiography, she began to become more and more paranoid. When her computer was infected with a virus, this gave her paranoia full rein, and she sank into bipolar disorder. She panicked, and the resulting psychological problems she created for herself resulted in her fantasizing that her first husband was going to kill her, so she left her home and faked her death, physically altering her appearance in the bargain. After an intervention took place, she got back on her feet and started the mental wellness campaign. Since then she has sustained her career in film, television, and theater, recently appearing in a Canadian stage production of "The Vagina Monologues".
IMDb
Margot Kidder - Biography
Though, I guess she had an actual mental ailment to blame her nutty behavior.

That would be interesting. Can you imagine how pissed Joan would be?
And how could they forget Anne Heche naked in the desert chasing aliens?

Joan Crawford was on some au-natural shit. I'd have to sleep with a light on and knife by the bed if that woman was in the house. Every time hear her name, that scene where she says "Wireeee Hanggerssss!!!!"

I think that's what the basis of the article in Vanity Fair was; a book is coming out... I think.
And yes Courtney Love is completely batshit.

I completely agree about Jolie and think that Crawford nad Mills tops the list, agree also with Love but have to add Britney to the mix. and possibly Marilyn Monroe. oh and add Sylvia Plath to that list to..

I'll go with Francis Farmer. Wasn't she pronounced clinically insane and locked up in an asylum? Has anyone here read Hollywood Babylon by Kenneth Anger? There is a plethora of smut about Old Hollywood in that book- including Farmer's descent into madness.
