I think Conan O'Brien can be hilarious. I remember watching him old school, like Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, are they still around? He always made me laugh with his self-deprecating humor, I loved when he had beautiful women on his show and made himself look ridiculous fawning over them. But I haven't watched him in probably 5-10 years. Different strokes for different folks.
I think this has some great guest moments:

I think he's funny. I usually watch Conan's show everynight. However, a few years ago I never saw his appeal or humor either. After constantly seeing the show, I guess I somehow came to like him and all the stupid jokes and stuff he does.

It depends on where you're searching. If you search within a particular forum (news, Miscellaneous, whatever), it only searches that forum. You have to go to the main page and use that search function if you want to search the entire site. I just tried searching in Misc for "rant and rave", it didn't come up, but when I searched the whole site (or the forum it's in) it shows up.
That said, I'm sure it's far from a perfect function. Most search functions are hit and miss to a degree.

See, I did the search on this very page of this thread, which is in Miscellaneous. But I still got the result for the Rant and/or Rave thread, which is in High School part of the forum. Also got results from many different parts of the forum. Weird.

i haven't really watched much conan in the past few years. i used to watch a lot in the beginning and then after a while it wasn't as funny as before, i guess it got more professional and it wasn't as fresh and weird and absurd as it started out.
i remember the masturbating bear. like beeyotch said, the idea alone is so ridiculous to make you laugh. and yeah, it's juvenile and stupid - it doesn't get more idiotic than a guy in a bear suit wearing a diaper and jerking off. but still hilarious.

Conan is better than Letterman or Leno by a longshot. He knows his humor is ridiculous and outlandish and doesn't take it seriously.
He also used to write for The Simpsons, back when it was GOOD.. around 93

Aww, I like Conan. I can't stand Jay Leno though.

I find him to be similar to Brad Bird in nasally annoying and loud and obnoxious, perhaps it's the confidence that people like.
But yeah, pretty ugly and pretty unfunny in my books.

Yes, Conan is all those things and more. He's a good guy to random hotel staff, so he'll always have my support and the support of my friends.

I disliked him for the first few years he was on. Now I get the feeling that he's the geek made good, kind of a lovable underdog.
