Sure, her mom fucked up her life. This is like beating a dead horse, we all know it, it's brought up every other day since she flipped her shit. There has to be a time when a person MOVES ON from that in order to get their lives straightened out. Seriously, are we going to hear how Lynne fucked up Britney's life, when Britney is still doing this shit at 40?

Why are they showing this when obviously they are not doing anything to
help her when it's really obvious she needs some serious wake up call. I total
agree with the posters in the Britney's meltdown thread that the only way she
can see the reality of what her life have turned out to be is to take the money
away.
If she was poor or not who she i'm sure she will be in jail by now with all her
stupid antics.

I watched a vid on YouTube of Britney when she was a little girl of 10 singing like there was no tomorrow. Big strong powerful controlled voice. Who knew? And that the mother was behind her all the way encouraging her wasnt a bad thing, because Britney WAS good. What the hell happened along the way?

What happened? Working her like a dog, not giving her any semblance of a childhood, allowing her to have smoke blown up her ass and surrounding her with adults all the time. Watch the documentary about the lovely La Lohan. Similar situation, although from all reports in that documentary from 'people in the industry' (woohoo), Dina is acknowledged as the worst stage mother of all who wants the fame for herself.

I'd say Hayden Panettiere's mom is about to challenge her for the title. But so far li'l Hayden seems to be keeping her nose clean.

I do think Lynne was too permissive, but she isn't totally to blame for Britney's insanity.
My grandparents had 4 children- three very successful, normal ones, and a son who was extremely smart but got into drugs in college and went crazy. This triggered the onset of schizophrenia.
Britney's behavior is extremely similar to his; inattention to personal hygiene, going into rages when someone says no or disagrees with him, talking to himself, aggression, etc. Like Britney, he's now batshit crazy and incapable of taking care of himself. There was nothing my grandparents could do about it because he's an adult and is not willing to get help or to admit that he even has a problem. They had him briefly institutionalized in college, but they couldn't keep him there forever.
They are both just wonderful people and great parents who provided their kids with everything they could, but when you have a child who is mentally ill, sometimes their behavior is just out of your control.
I blame Lynne more for Jamie Lynn's fuck-ups than Britney's, because I think Jamie Lynn's situation WAS a direct result of Lynne's failure to set boundaries, whereas Britney is just mentally ill.

I continue to maintain the Jamie Lynn got herself knocked up as the only solution to getting out of the crazy life her mother had set her up for.
