Forbes has just come out with their list of 2007's 20 highest grossing female musicians, and the results are pretty surprising.

1. Madonna - $72 million
2. Barbra Streisand - $60 million
3. Celine Dion - $45 million
4. Shakira - $38 million
5. Beyoncé - $27 million
6. Gwen Stefani - $26 million
7. Christina Aguilera - $20 million
8. Faith Hill - $19 million
9. Dixie Chicks - $18 million
10. Mariah Carey - $13 million

Yup, Britney didn't make the top 10!

Wow i still find it hard to believe that Britney made $8 mil last year doing absolutely nothing where as the rest of the people on the list probably worked their butts off . Oh well...i bet she doesn't have a penny of that $8 mil left, she probably spent it all on Frapps, Red Bull, Cigs, Cheetos and Taco's.

Despite her numerous break-downs and the break-up, the hideous comeback at the MTV awards and the lip-sync tour of the House of Blues, Britney Spears made a pretty decent living last year.

Britney banked $8 million during July 2006-June 2007.

The money came mostly from her share of the perfume brand 'Curious'. Business magazine Forbes reports that Curious grossed $55.4 million during 2006, which put a chunk of cash in Britney's pocket.

She also earned revenues from her older material as well as from sales of her new album 'Breakdown' which is still providing hits for her in various parts of the world. 'Piece Of Me' is doing well in Europe at the moment.

Britney isn't the only one that has discovered that smell sells. Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Lopez also earned an equally good pay-check from fragrances last year.

Madonna was the biggest female earner of last year. She made $72m. Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion were at No. 2 and No. 3.

Well to me, Curious smells like rusty metal. Other people obviously like it or it wouldn't sell. I was given Fantasy as a gift, and I do like it, I wouldn't buy it again though.

Some of them are nice for budget perfumes.
Others are way too awful and can actually make you feel sick.
