agree with a lot of the comments.
i also think that if anything, ryan gosling and mandy moore are overrated. gosling looks retarded and slow no matter what role he's playing, and the only reason people think mandy moore is all that is because they were expecting some dumbass à la jessica simpson but instead it turns out she's not entirely stupid and she's an ok actress. key word 'ok'. nothing great, nothing to write home about.

Brad Dourif---god, there's an underrated actor. He's excellent. Never really gets any credit.

This list seems like one that should really be titled "Ones to watch for", or "Hollywood up-and-comers" or something. I wouldn't say these people are underrated, more like relative unknowns who may have some talent (I definitely think some of them do, and there are some that I've never seen).

^Yeah....I think that Gosling in particular is really talented, and so is Zooey Deschanel, but "underrated" is sort of a badge of honor, belonging to actors who have been around for a long time, have done great work consistently, are very talented, but have not gained the recognition they deserved. Nobody on this list qualifies in the slightest.

At one point Jeremy Piven and Hugh Laurie were underrated--they've recently gained a lot of deserved recognition through television (even if Piven is an asshole, he's a good actor). Imelda Staunton, Khandi Alexander....my gosh, there's a whole bunch of them. I don't think anyone deserves to be considered "underrated" until they hit 30.

Holly Marie Combs. I like her because she lives like us normal people, in a modest home, out of the spotlight.
