I'm about to pass out but I thought I'd post in a timely fashion. Fashion. Ha. Idiots.
I didn't see the shows. I worked as a set designer for an after party given by MetLife. Snoopy is their logo and it was called Snoopy in Fashion. Designers did Peanuts inspired outfits which will be auctioned on Ebay for charity.
I saw Carrie Underwood and Ciara (singer) on parade outside. It was the strangest thing I ever saw. All of a sudden there is a rush inside the park to see who is walking. Carrie and then later Ciara paraded with a coterie of photographers, bodyguards and people with headsets. It was all for that one good photo.
I had no idea it was Carrie Underwood until someone told me (same for Ciara). Carrie looked like an idiot. Skinny stick legs, really dumb hairdo. It was all so fake it was funny. Ciara was wearing a very beautiful purple/scarlet chiffon gown. In broad daylight. It made no sense. Maybe that pic will show up here. She looks like a young Tyra Banks.
These fashion people are nuts. They look crazy, need so much attention and don't seem to have two brain cells rubbing together. They don't care. It's all about posing and looking like something that you'd just have to whisper about.
Don't get me started on the ass kissers and security people who have it down pat as to how to keep the little people out and down. The production people are all on major ego trips. Everybody is a control freak and excuse me, they were all of 25 years old. I'd like to know where they get the confidence as well as audacity to behave like they do.
On a happier note....It was fun for me to do the design for the party. However, they slashed the budget to practically nothing.
My friend designed this Snoopy based on the color pic (made of flowers) at the entrance of the restaurant. The gerber daisies in the grass was a hoot.
These are pre-party pics. Oh, the DJ was supposed to be DJ AM (former Nicole Richie) but they slashed the budget and couldn't afford him. Whoever the DJ was, he was another idiot.
