List of celebrities who posed for Playboy
This is interesting. Not only is it a list, but it also tells a mini bio. It doesn't show naughty pictures, just about where they're from, how they died (if they did), and things like plastic surgery and drug possession. The list goes on. If you click on Naomi Campbell, then see risk factors, then click cocaine, you'll get a huge list of celebrites who had used.

Something about if you want a relationship with one of them, you'd have to put up with that... like anyone normal would ever have a chance with any of these people.

The only people on this list that are currently doing well and are in the limelight seem to be Drew Barrymore, Vanessa Williams, & Lisa Rinna.

Vanessa Williams to my knowledge didn't pose for playboy, her pre miss america nude photos happened to surface and penthouse published them. Back then those kinds of things definitely could put a damper on your career for sure.
Other than that, not exactly an A list stellar group. It's obvious that any woman that wants to be a mainstream actress had better not pose for playboy in terms of being playmate of the month or year. At best you will get the stereotypical roles like pamela anderson or maybe a few gigs here and there. But even in this day and age there's a stigma to any lady that poses for playboy. Which I find hypocritical because many 'mainstream' actresses still have to pay their "dues" by doing nude and sex scenes before getting the real juicy ones.
And posing nude for playboy definitely has NOT furthered the careers of has beens and never had been celebrities desperate for publicity.
