The "Girls kissing Girls" phenomenon: a study in hoochies

Is anyone else annoyed by this? When did it become commonplace for drunk girls to make out with each other/grind on each other at clubs? Its always on TV.

This is separate from women who define themselves as lesbians.

Its the whole Girls Gone Wild (puke) culture that seems to have pushed this whole thing way into the mainstream.

Girls see this so much on TV it just becomes second nature to get nasty at clubs/parties whatever else, likes thats what ppl want to see and that makes them hot.

When I was a "kid" (back in the 80s/90s) girls didn't do this much, at least not on tv. When did this become cool?

So when certain girls get drunk, do they become bi? Or do it to get attention? or both?

So this girl on "the bad girls club" on Oxygen gets a taste for female hotties when she drinks and goes to clubs. So technically she's not cheating on her bf, she thinks. Cause its not with guys. mmmmkayyyy . . .. whatevs.

Attention seeking gets my vote. Girls today have opportunities like never before yet they seem more desperate than ever.

Olivia, I'm of the same generation, and I don't get it either. I have no desire to kiss another woman, drunk or sober. We also didn't show our bare breasts at the drop of a hat.

I knew a couple who did. But at least it was actually somewhat scandalous and edgy then. Now it's so commonplace it's boring. Not to mention pathetically obvious attention-seeking behavior.

I'm waiting for men to start doing this. Then maybe I'll be impressed!

Yeah, I think most of the girls do it for the attention. They know guys like it, so they do it to impress the guys. But I think you made a great point, MrsDark. It's not even risque or scandalous anymore...it's so predictable. *yawn*

I don't get it either. It just seems so contrived. Girls kissing other girls and play acting all sexual with each other for -- male attention.

Do you think these girls think guys actually respect them for showing their titties and kissing other girls in front of everyone? The only thing guys think is that the girl is an easy lay and that she's adventurous in bed. I guarantee the guys aren't sitting there thinking "Now that's a girl I could fall in love with and that I want to be the mother of my children." The guys have no interest in these hoochie girls outside the bedroom.

I'm with you guys. I don't care how drunk I've been, I have NEVER had the urge to kiss another girl or lick my frends' boobs. It's just girls acting like skanks cos that's what they will get guys to want them. Which maybe it will, but it'd attract the wrong kind of guys so why bother?

I think the misconception of many young girls is that "if he sleeps with me, he'll fall in love with me." Whereas, when I was younger, it was much more Sixteen Candles; I'll find my first love, then have sex with him.

Exactly. The kind of guys (or should I say boys) who actually want to sleep with/date these girls are not exactly respectable themselves. Sure, all of the men cast curious glances, but the grody men who go for the kill are probably full of diseases and lacking much of a brain.

What's funny is that these types of girls are usually the ones who say, "EWWW GROSS" if a guy wants a blow job.
They act all sexually adventurous, but what it really comes down to is ATTENTION, just as you said.

Maybe it's just like the skinny trend-- it's more about competition between females than turning on the guys?

I agree easy one night stand is the only thing guys think of when they see girls behave like that. I have never wanted to do that drunk or sober.
