def. agree w/most of you i was joking about the 'lil' brit comment. to me she's always been an average talent (certainly in terms of singing)i'd say she's average but w/ a strong desire for the attention-no question she worked to get her start but i think her collapse is just an exposure of who she really is plain and simple. my friends and i were not surprised by it . the video reminder to me is just like a 'slice of life' so tos peak here she is young, great body, thought of as a star, pretty, $ the whole 9 and ya know what look at her now. sad sad sad.

I definately used to think she was sexy; yes, i was a 'fan'. But as people have already said, her face has always been average at best, even worse without her makeup. Everytime I used to say to my mother (who's always disliked Britney and what she stood for i suppose) 'where did the real britney go', she'd say- THAT is the REAL Britney. The other Britney was the made up, airbrushed Britney.

Still, she DID have a good body.

Speaking of airbrushing, I read in a magazine once that Britney needs the MOST amount of work. It didn't say what they were airbrushing, probably her skin.

I never found her hot. She had a good body back in the day, but I couldn't get past the whole inbred moron face.

Mind you, compared to now, old Brit is starting to look pretty damn hot even to me.

Probably skin AND her limbs to elongate her body. In some of the pictures posted on here you can tell they streched out her stumps.

It's probably hella hard to blend Brit's face with someone else's body anyway, as they did for some of her shots.

I must be in the minority, but I absolutely loved "Hit Me Baby" when it came out. In fact, I still love it. I think it's a great song and she was indeed a lucky lucky girl to record that song and release it as her debut. I don't think she has ever duplicated the initial impact of that recording. I would venture that all of her follow up success was built on that one song. Plus, she was cute as a button in that video. She looked happy, healthy, and positive.

Something I'm sure no one has said about her in a long time!

'Hit Me Baby' really is a classic example of a perfect POP song. Anyone who disagrees simply doesn't know that much about music. I'm sure lots of people loathe it but it doesn't change the fact that it's a gem of a track and very probably cemented her subsequent success.
