Kid's eyes probably had to be changed in photoshop to Thetan Tom's exact instructions and specifications. Who knows what that she really looks like.
In fact, I'm not sure the she's not wearing a rug.

It's too early to tell exactly what color her eyes will be. They're still changing. It takes a bit for a baby's eyes to change if I remember correctly. Actually my cousin's new born has the same blue tinge to his eyes as well. And both her and her husband are brown eyed people.

^^They don't look very blue to me in the VF pics either, just "different" because of the angle and lighting. According to this article, "Caucasian babies are almost always born with dark gray-blue eyes that can take weeks or months to reveal their true color".

Ever seen a person with dark skin in different lighting conditions? They can go from very pale to very dark within a frame.
Same goes for eyes, especially since there's a reflective covering.
Plus there's lots of color toning that occurs (digitally now) before a photo is "done".

I am waiting for someone to say that Tom Christ makes Suri wear blue contacts to make her look more like his child.
