Hey! I am doing a project for my college Mass Communication Research class and any answers you can give to these questions would definitley be helpful! Thank you so much! (And don't worry - i'll make sure to make a fake name up for you in the paper)
1. How often do you purchase weekly magazines (People, USweekly)? What makes you buy them? (Cover, you usually do, etc)
2. How often do you visit blogs about celebrities? What makes you pick certain sites?
3. Why do you feel you relate to certain celebrities? (Feel free to include which celeb you relate to)
4. What kind of behavior to you expect from that celebrity?
5. Do you have a sense of trust with that celeb? Why or why not?
6. How long have you been interested in celeb gossip?
7. Have you ever changed your attitude about a celeb when their behavior changed from what you expected?
8. What kind of person would your friends and family say you are?
Thanks so much again!

Happy to help, good luck with the project
1. How often do you purchase weekly magazines (People, USweekly)? What makes you buy them? (Cover, you usually do, etc)
I've got a weekly subscription to WHO magazine, which is the Aussie version of People magazine. And I might buy other ones during the week based on whats on the cover, etc. But since being on this site, I dont really buy magazines anymore, all the gossip and more is here, and for free!
2. How often do you visit blogs about celebrities? What makes you pick certain sites?
sometimes I'll check thesuperficial.com, because whoever writes that is always amusing.
3. Why do you feel you relate to certain celebrities? (Feel free to include which celeb you relate to). I dont feel like i relate to anyone really; i just admire certain celebrities and then they become role models.
4. What kind of behavior to you expect from that celebrity? Well i dont like to read something negative about them; I'll use Britney Spears as an example; I was a fan until she hooked up with Paris, since I loathe Paris i cant bring myself to like Britney anymore.
5. Do you have a sense of trust with that celeb? Why or why not?- i haven't really thought about that.
6. How long have you been interested in celeb gossip? its hard to ignore anymore, its pretty much everywhere. Probably since I was a spice girl fan (1997) was when I started paying attention to gossip. I was collecting every magazine article and gossip tidbit i could find.
7. Have you ever changed your attitude about a celeb when their behavior changed from what you expected? Yes, Britney spears!
8. What kind of person would your friends and family say you are? Creative, prefers to be alone, or in the company of only a select few, shy but once i start talking i can hold great conversations with people, and too trusting of others.

1. How often do you purchase weekly magazines (People, USweekly)? What makes you buy them? (Cover, you usually do, etc)

I go on dlisted.com almost every day, because it's funny.
3. Why do you feel you relate to certain celebrities? (Feel free to include which celeb you relate to)
I don't relate to any of them, maybe when I was younger I did. Some inspire me look wise, like Kate Moss.
4. What kind of behavior to you expect from that celebrity?
No expectations
5. Do you have a sense of trust with that celeb? Why or why not?

1. How often do you purchase weekly magazines (People, USweekly)? What makes you buy them? (Cover, you usually do, etc)
I usually buy one or two every month, depending on the celebrity on the cover and the exclusivity of the information. I usually don't buy the magazine if their cover story is about something that I already have a lot of information about from tv or this website.
2. How often do you visit blogs about celebrities? What makes you pick certain sites?
I visit this site and pink is the new blog every time that I use the computer!! (Multiple times each day.)
3. Why do you feel you relate to certain celebrities? (Feel free to include which celeb you relate to)
When Jessica Simpson was on Newlyweds I felt like I could relate to her on a lot of issues (insecurity about Nick being around other girls, inability to cook, the jealous younger sister, Texans heritage). I love it when a Texan celebrity talks about their Texas heritage and how there is nothing like Texas, because I definitely agree with that. When celebrities reveal real emotions and faults like a normal person, I can identify with them more.
4. What kind of behavior to you expect from that celebrity?
I expected her to be a normal person with problems and concerns like everyone else in a relationship.
5. Do you have a sense of trust with that celeb? Why or why not?
I wouldn't call it trust, but I used to have confidence in her and Nick's ability to make their relationship work. My feelings about her have completely changed since she did Dukes of Hazzard. I think that was when she really started to let everything go to her head and she changed.
6. How long have you been interested in celeb gossip?
As long as I can remember!
7. Have you ever changed your attitude about a celeb when their behavior changed from what you expected?
Yes. Jessica Simpson.
8. What kind of person would your friends and family say you are?
Outgoing, Friendly, Vain (sad but I know they think that), Intelligent

1. How often do you purchase weekly magazines (People, USweekly)? What makes you buy them? (Cover, you usually do, etc)
Never.
2. How often do you visit blogs about celebrities? What makes you pick certain sites?
Every few days. I like sites that don't gush and fawn over celebs, sites that either present up to date juicy tidbits or savage wit.
3. Why do you feel you relate to certain celebrities? I don't know that I actually relate to certain celebrities, but there are some that just seem to present an image of being more down to earth and friendly than others and I like that.
4. What kind of behavior to you expect from that celebrity? Celebs in general: Respect your fans. Your fans are the reason you are where you are today. Don't think that simply because you have money and fame that you ought to be worshipped, have freebies, get served first, treat other people like rubbish.
5. Do you have a sense of trust with that celeb? Why or why not?I haven't really thought about that. How can I trust someone I don't know? Do you mean trust as in would I trust their recommendations for some product? The answer to that is definitely NO! They get paid to hawk something, it isn't sincere.
6. How long have you been interested in celeb gossip? A couple of years.
7. Have you ever changed your attitude about a celeb when their behavior changed from what you expected? Yes, and you know it has never been a positive thing either!
8. What kind of person would your friends and family say you are? Artistic, creative, surprisingly tough, hardworking, quiet, easygoing

1. How often do you purchase weekly magazines (People, USweekly)? What makes you buy them? (Cover, you usually do, etc) I might buy them maybe once a month. If it something that they have more information on, that would make me purchase it. My Gramma will tell you she buys them if there "someone pretty" on the cover.
2. How often do you visit blogs about celebrities? What makes you pick certain sites? Everyday. I go to this one, Pink, sometimes Perez, sometimes Dlist because they get the juicy news before anyone else.
3. Why do you feel you relate to certain celebrities? (Feel free to include which celeb you relate to)I feel I relate to them if they are going through something I have. ie Reese Witherspoon. I totally feel for her right now. He was sleeping around on her and I had the same experience although I am not famous but still a human issue.
4. What kind of behavior to you expect from that celebrity? I expect great movies from Reese a well as a look every now and then at her and her kids. As far as other celebs, it depends who the celeb is and what they have been doing. For ie, I will forever expect trash from Ms. Spears as well as nothing but insanity from Tom Cruise.
5. Do you have a sense of trust with that celeb? Why or why not? No. Not really.
6. How long have you been interested in celeb gossip? Since I remember my mother and aunts swapping rag mags in the 70s so about 30 years.
7. Have you ever changed your attitude about a celeb when their behavior changed from what you expected? Yes. ie Spears, Cruise, Holmes, etc.
8. What kind of person would your friends and family say you are? Reserved but warm.

1. How often do you purchase weekly magazines (People, USweekly)? What makes you buy them? (Cover, you usually do, etc) Never
2. How often do you visit blogs about celebrities? What makes you pick certain sites?
Daily. I like ones that have the latest updates (like Celebrity Baby Blog) and are anti-troll (ahem Perez Hilton- even though I do visit it, sometimes).
3. Why do you feel you relate to certain celebrities?
I actually don't. Maybe that's why I find their lives so oddly interesting.
4. What kind of behavior to you expect from that celebrity?N/A
5. Do you have a sense of trust with that celeb? Why or why not?N/A
6. How long have you been interested in celeb gossip? About 8 yrs.
7. Have you ever changed your attitude about a celeb when their behavior changed from what you expected? Yes:
-Katie Holmes (self-explanatory)
-Nancy Kerrigan (rooted for her after the Tonya Harding thing, but was sad when a mic caught her saying how stupid the Disney parade was while she was in it [I was 9, ok? lol])
-Michael Richards (thought he was a quiet, yet quirky person...um, yeah)
8. What kind of person would your friends and family say you are?
Sensitive, good worker, frugal, cautious, witty

Ahhh, comm studies class. The memories....
1. How often do you purchase weekly magazines (People, USweekly)? What makes you buy them? (Cover, you usually do, etc)
I get People, and have for the past 15 years. I only buy others when I have a plane ride and need disposable things to read.
2. How often do you visit blogs about celebrities? What makes you pick certain sites? I'm on this one daily, M-F while I'm at work. Occassionally visit TMZ, Perez when I'm bored. I pick sites that have fast, up to date topics.
3. Why do you feel you relate to certain celebrities? (Feel free to include which celeb you relate to) I think like everyone else who's done this so far, I don't relate to them. Their lives are generally more interesting than one of the average suburban housewife.
4. What kind of behavior to you expect from that celebrity? I expect the same behavior as they've done in the past, slutty Paris, demure ice queen Reese. When they depart from their typical behavior is when I get disturbed.
5. Do you have a sense of trust with that celeb? Why or why not? I don't trust any celebs. I think you may have worded this question improperly.
6. How long have you been interested in celeb gossip? 15+ years, since Teen Beat days.
7. Have you ever changed your attitude about a celeb when their behavior changed from what you expected? Only when they drastically change their behavior. Attitude changed on the following: Angelina, now saint; Tom Cruise, now a crazy freak; once innocent Katie Holmes, now brainwashed freak.
8. What kind of person would your friends and family say you are?
Outgoing, intelligent, funny, attractive, hard working, honest, ballsy.
