I still can't figure out why Katie decided to get sucked into all this, even Scarlet and Jessica Alba said no! I thought Katie was good in 'Wonderboys', watching her get brainwashed makes me throw my hands up.

Esp when you hear more about what the Co$ does to the family members of the newly braindead. I'm surprised that Katie's family was even allowed at the wedding. But even if they did talk about anything, they had to stick to the weather, what the dress looks like, etc- forced smalltalk until the family becomes Co$ members, then they can discuss 'real' things. And if they don't, tepid bla-bla-bla for the rest of time.

I also wondered if the date yesterday was another shot at Katie's family, I have no idea if they're Ohio State fans but yesterday was the biggest game of all time: Ohio v. Michigan. No self-respecting Ohioan would miss that, unless of course their daughter is forced to marry Capt' Cuckoo von Cocopuff.

As a huge Big 10 fan, I appreciate your sentiment. However, I would think having your daughter marry in a lavish Hollywood ceremony in Rome would trump the Buckeyes. At the very least, maybe their still trying to steal her from Thetan Tom's clutches.

MAybe it's about the money.
A lot of women are dazzled blind by the right to shop their little hearts out and live a certain lifestyle and just don't know that they will sell their soul to do so.

Katie did this for the money and notoriety(did many know or care who Katie Holmes was previous to this??). She was just known as "Joey" from Dawson's creek. She would have never seen this sort of lifestyle without agreeing to this. She stands to make a ton of cash, as well; something else she would have never seen on her won. You have to admit, she isn't that good an actress.

So, she stays married to the guy for 9 years - never ten and makes more money than she could have ever made on her own; maybe she'll make a few good movies. She'll be free of this game in her mid 30's, which is still young enough to start a real relationship and marriage. She's Nicole Kidman in the making.
