I say Letterman.
Leno has some decent segments. Letterman has more natural comic abilities, but it depends on the guest. When he has Amy Sedaris on, for example, he's hilarious.

Leno. Seems more personable. Plus I hate hate hate the way Letterman repeats these random freaking words for no reason. Over and over. And Paul Schaeffer sucks.

Leno all the way. He doesn't have the egomaniacal need to be funnier than his guests. Two of my all time favorite guest appearances were probably the first time Warren Beatty ever did the show (at least with Leno, can't remember if he ever did the show before).
Being extremely shy when in front of live audiences, Beatty had panicked and sent Gary Shandling (who co-starred in his movie) out first. Then, after Leno had talked to a stalling Shandling for several minutes, Warren finally walked on, but after 1 question from Leno, froze up again. Shandling started answering for Beatty, serving as kind of a go between from Leno to Beatty, Leno started talking louder and then started asking the questions this way "Ask him if he thinks....." to which Shandling replied "It's not like he's deaf, he can hear you, he's just shy", while Beatty was sitting in the middle of all this. That remark sent Leno, the entire audience and Beatty to the floor, laughing. Very funny visit.
The other was even funnier, when Billy Crystal had done this movie with Debra Winger, forgot the title, and he'd just returned from a visit to Germany to promote it. His answers almost caused Leno to choke laughing. LOVED it!

Leno. I LOATHE Paul Schaffer and I love Kevin. If it weren't for those two, I would watch whoever had the more interesting guests on, but I can't even stand to look at Paul.

Leno seems so scripted...but that doesn't mean I won't watch him if he has an interesting guest. I just prefer Letterman

Letterman is hilarious, still after all these years! He will always get my vote!

I used to prefer Leno because Shchaeffer creeps me out and I don't find a lot of his long-running gags funny, but Leno's just too much like a neutured dog, never wanting to step on anyone's toes. So I switched over.

Leno blows. Dave isn't quite the man he used to be but he's still twice the man Leno is.

Conan! I can't watch Letterman because of that distracting gap in his teeth, and I can't watch Leno because he allegedly has a MASSIVE schlong and I become transfixed on his crotch to see if it could be true. Shallow and vapid, moi?

Why, why, why did you have to mention Leno and that certain part of the male anatomy in the same sentence, in connection with each other? The man is asexual...as he should be.

I don't stay up late enough to watch either of these guys, but I would choose Letterman.
