Cates in 1989 (left) and June 4, 2006
When actress Phoebe Cates ( Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Gremlins) and hubby Kevin Kline showed up to the NYC premiere of A Prairie Home Companion Sunday night, the 42-year-old mother of three looked the same as she did 17 years ago.

I ran across an article about her the other day that said she has a boutique in New York, has no interest in acting these days.
Here is a different article about her, and she looks great in the photo while poor Kevin Kline looks like her grandfather:

I've always loved him. I'm always entertained by him. He's coming out in Shakespeares As You Like It directed by Kenneth Brannagh.
Here's Phoebe's shop.

Oh, wow, Kev, what happened? He was never classically handsome, but pleasant to look at.

He's simply hilariously BRILLIANT in "A Fish Called Wanda". The way he kicks the shit out of Cleese after he beat him unconscious thinking he was a burglar. (Paraphrased) "Who robs his own house you stupid, idiot asshole!!!!" Then, startled, "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry - I didn't mean that..." Has me on the floor even after having watched it tons of times. He can play stupid so well.

Did you get (to watch) "Ishtar" and "The Fortune" yet? You REALLY should see them. I get the feeling we have the same sense of humor. If so, you'll practically die laughing with "The Fortune" (you already know how funny "Ishtar" is )

Still a beauty in my eyes. I can't believe it's been nearly 25 years since "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" came out! Gulp!
