I can't figure out how to post photos so if anyone can help, there's a photo on www.dlisted.com. Brit and SP are in a convertable (top down) and SP is in the back. He's in a car seat but it's facing the wrong way. Kids under one year are supposed to be in a rear facing seat only. He's facing forward. Some doctors will make an exception for it if the baby is near the one year mark and over 20 lbs. SP is, what 6 months old? She's an idiot. I keep trying to give her the benefit of the doubt but putting your child in danger makes it awfully hard.

Re: So Brit still hasn't figured out how to work a car seat
He's slumped like that because he's sleeping, but she could have just laid the belt over him instead of locking it in.

Re: So Brit still hasn't figured out how to work a car seat
If this isn't a white trash postcard, I'm not sure what is. Here's Britney Spears driving with full curlers in her Mini Cooper and SPF looking dead in the back seat. This is my new screen saver! This is truly a gorgeous picture.Quoted from D-listed
Omg, that pic and that quote just made my day. I have quite the case of the giggles now.

^ "white trash postcard" yeah that poor kid needs to be taken away; he's obviously under the influence of something, how sad, I can tell that Shitney will probably out-live him due to his future run-ins w/ the law and eventual drug overdose/suicide.

Oh man, you're right Bellatheball---he should be facing backwards. Yet another reason this kid should be taken away (though obviously this isn't a huge thing--unless god forbid they are in an accident).
That pic is priceless......

I don't think he's buckled in. There are no straps visible on the car seat. We should see a strap going over his shoulder, but there isn't one. It's been a long time since I had one that small, but when strapped in, my kids would never have been able to slump that far forward.

From the angle of the pic, you can't say that he isn't buckled in. He is, however facing the wrong way.
IMO it is a little harsh to say that he should be taken away. Should she have to go to parenting classes? Definitely-but I don't think he should be taken away from his mother...

I agree.... I don't think he should be 'taken away'.
I do think he looks strapped in but I'm not entirely sure thats Britney... this girl looks fatter than Britney.

I didn't know the kid had to be facing the rear of the car under a year old. It's been many, many years since my younger siblings were that small. I'll give Titney the benefit of the doubt on this way.
But she's still stupid. Clearly, she didn't read the instructions. I don't think she's negligent, just dumb. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb!

It's definitely Titney. Besides, the paps don't zoom in on regular people with telephoto lenses.

You know, I started looking at this pic, and I don't think it is her, either. Look through the shoulders-very thick-and although we all know Brit is not a skinny minny, she is not this big and this girl apparently has a very large nose. If someone can find a closer pic....

Wicked, you may not know the rules but every parent should. Before you leave the hospital, they are required (at least around here) to make sure you have a car seat and know how to work it. Most pediatricians go over and over the requirements at every well child check and he should have had about 4-5 by now. There's no excuse. She's a mother. It's her job to keep him safe. She's more than an idiot. She's negligent.

I think it's her. And I would be hard-pressed to believe that ANY new mother nowadays doesn't know the car seat rules, unless she's living in a cave under the Appalachian mountains with no tv or radio or internet or magazines or newspapers.
I'm gonna go a step farther here, and say that people can do what they want, but I wouldn't cruise down the highway with the top down if my infant was in the back seat. How much wind is back there? Hell, he might be slumped over because he got hit by a goose, like Fabio.

Oh I'm sure she knows the rules of putting in the car seat. After that incident with her holding Sean on her lap while driving I'm sure the CPS worker went over the car seat rules thoroughly, perhaps even made her demonstate that she has a car seat and it's fastened in correctly. I believe Twitney thinks, yet again, that the rules the rest of us roll by don't apply to her because she's spech-shull! Pastel plastic ponies and fairies with magical dust will protect SPF.
