The Downfall Of Modern Society

It would seem that the human race is continuing to degrade in most every way. We have seen the benefits of technology but did not realize the negative aspect (our health, our environment, our children, our selves.) People kill each other without a second thought. Kids kill other kids. People steal - not because they are desperate, but because they enjoy it. Just listen to your local news to get the picture i'm painting.

Now, do you think these negative aspects of society have always existed but we didn't have the access to info before? or

Has society suddenly rushed towards the cliff?

I am not prepared to write us off yet. We are deluged with info-most of it the bad stuff. The good stuff is not nearly so juicy.The same small percentage of the population is bad-always has been. Always will be.

I'll bite. Throughout history there have always been degenerates, killers,
backstabbers..... in other words "bad seeds" among the human race.
What I feel is different now, is that in past eras, the bad ones were the
(moral) minority. Nowadays, it seems like bad morals are more and more
becoming the norm. "If you can't beat them (anyone bad), join them (or
at least stop trying to reform them)".
That's sad.

Shit has always happened. Was it hidden better in the past? maybe. There's loads of good to be found.

World has always had these crazy things. There has been cannibalism and children has been sacrificed etc. And lambs have been raped.

I cannot see how are we any different now other than trying to catch the bad people.
